I may have contributed to the confusion. In the WCC + Non conference message board links I went with North Dakota State. I figured it was really pushing the limits to think that North Dakota could fill up two universities. OOPSIE ! I was wrong. The Fighting Sioux do exist and will be our opponent in Montana. www.fightingsioux.com/

Mea Culpa! In any case, we could beat NDS! Gave me something to do this afternoon in any case. ;D University of North Dakota Fighting Sioux Lost top three scorers from last year, a young squad with 3 Seniors and 2 Juniors, coming off a 16-11 season last year. We should match up well in both front court and back court against UND. I like our chances here! ;D

Thanks Pep for the edit! And Fan for the cover! But it was my error! Onward and upward from here! UND Defeats Bemidji State in Exhibition Nov 7 GRAND FORKS, N.D. – Sophomore Patrick Mitchell (Des Moines, Iowa) had 16 points to lead the University of North Dakota men’s basketball team to a 65-63 victory in a back-and-forth affair over Bemidji State at the Betty Engelstad Sioux Center on Sunday. Mitchell’s 16 points led a trio of Sioux players in double figures as UND erased a seven-point deficit in the final eight minutes to rally for the win in the team’s only exhibition game on the schedule. www.fightingsioux.com/ViewArticle.dbml?SPSID=58563&SPID=6388&DB_OEM_ID=13500&ATCLID=204829819Bemidji State is a DII school with 5000 students and sports an 8-19 Record from 2008-2009 (yes better than LMU But...). We should definitely beat this UND squad. Early forecast on the 3-game tournament, if we have 1 win and 2 losses but are competitive in the 2 losses, it will be a good tournament. If we have 2 wins and 1 loss, it will be a great tournament for LMU to start the season. If we win all three games, then ... You fill in the blanks! ;D Another brief note, we may fall behind in the Montana or Boise State games (especially Montana who is at home) and this will be a test of our young team. We will get a gauge on whether or not we have the grit to come back from adversity and prevail? The potential is there, let's hope we can capitalize on our new talent this year to start the season right! I for one am optimistic about this squad especially the new players! ;D

Cannot wait for the game tomorrow! I think we have a great shot pulling our record even. Hopefully we do not play down to the competition.

alert2 - thought you made a typo with that 37 points - only 15 points in the second half for UND! Let's not have any technical problems with our feed from Montana tonight!
Want to make some easy money - odds in the Breeze have UND favored by 1 point. Also Montana favored by 2 over Boise State.

Other lines show LMU 3 point underdog and Boise a 4.5 point favorite. I don't think these guys know about our team yet.

Seems you can get the audio for tonight's game on the UND website. www.fightingsioux.com/They also seem to offer the broadcast for a price. A 24-hour subscription is shown for $5.95. I used something like this a few years ago to watch LMU away games but it was inconsistent, i.e., not all games were covered, and was video only as I recall. I signed up for the "free" audio of tonight's game in case we have those technical problems again at the start. And it might be interesting to hear another broadcaster's take on the Lions! Maybe I'll listen to both broadcasts - one in each ear? Or LMU on 88.9 and UND on the web? Maybe not.

espn gametracker is actually keeping up pretty well. Gotta love Larry's offensive. We do have a LOT more weapons this year.
