Got my call. I was told that tip-off would most likely be 7:00PM but off course it could not be confirmed. There is no TV for the game.

Depending on how far we get there will be TV coverage for CIT on Fox. That is its advantage over the CBI which only has TV on HDNet. WOOOHOOOO

A bunch of the independent schools are in a newly formed conference called the Great West that gets an auto bid to the CIT for the conf tourney winner. South Dakota seems to be the class of the bunch at 20-9 record.
Assuming they win, we have LMU, George Mason and South Dakota so far. 13 more teams to try to figure out.

Hi. This is Julia Pine from the Los Angeles Loyolan, and we were wondering if any season ticket holders who received a call today about the game next week would be willing to email me with some details.
Unfortunately, at this point members of the Athletics Department can't reveal information about next week's tournament, but we would love to put something in the paper so that students know there will be a home game.
Please email me at jpine@theloyolan.com if possible.
Thanks

Julia you should participate in the conversations here on the Lions Den! Could get some nice quotes for your articles. Or give the Lions Den a shout out to get more LMU students to come here online. What is the price for regular admission to this game? What about "visiting students" or young alumni? Anybody got an idea?

Julie I did not get a call yet. Re Creighton, if we eventually play them, we'll get to see Quincy's big brother! Go Lions!

It seems that some of the other schools that have expressed interest in playing in the CIT include Missouri State, UW-Milwaukee, Seattle, Southern Illinois, Marshall. I'm sure there are others but a quick search revealed interest by those schools.

Well we have a chance with Seattle and possibly another Pac10 team. Im guessing unlike the NCAA tourney that they will keep the west coast teams against west coast teams north aainst north south and east. I havent heard anything but what ablout an Arizona/Washington, Fullerton/Long Beach/Pacific(NIT possible), Northern Colorado/Montana/Montana St. Those are the teams that I could imagine filling up the West bracket. Arizona/Washington would probably be picked up by the NIT with the fan base they could provide, But all the other teams are eligible to play especially montana with the tournament push they had to the finals. Obviously they are going to try and keep travel easy for the first round games so maybe on the west bracket Fullerton@LMU and Montana@Seattle to play in Key Arena

Shoot I couldnt remember if they or Weber st. won. well that opens the posiibility of montana st playing Seattle which could lead to a Coach Priebe reunion in Gersten in the second round. Just a fun thought.
