Time's up! BZZZZZZ Both the Bruins and Bears will be away this week. An up hill battle for both. No home field and probably underdogs anyway.
Well an upset or two would give some needed cred to the West and the especially to the Pac 10, I mean 6.
If they both win they play each other in the semis in Santa Barbara

The women's final is Sunday. Notre Dame advances to face Stanford. We were in our game against the Irish and lost 1-0. We clearly had chances to score, but it didn't work out. The Irish dominated possession but couldn't put us away.
The women program is close and continues to get better. We haven't even made it to the tournament but when we do watch out.

Notre Dame won 1-0. Womens champs!
Michigan the 8th seeded team by TD advances to the college cup final four. UCLA loses as does Cal in shootout.

Santa Barbara or ESPNU?
Friday night the semis, Loiusville vs UNC and the the Akron Zips vs Michigan.
Two games worth a drive and a night in Santa Barbara. It's a good place to watch soccer and the stadium will be full.
I'll have to think about it.

Well the crowd in Santa Barbara wasn't as big as they probably hoped for over at the NCAA but it looked like a good turnout. It looked that way on TV anyway. Other things to do and replays too.
The final should be great Akron vs Louisville.
Akron dominated possession and won 2-1 over Michigan. For the little time the Blue had the ball they sure were dangerous. Only the post saved the Zips from falling behind in the second half.
Anyone who drives up to UCSB will be treated to a great final in person. Sunday at one.

The game on TV was great. And the DVR made it even better. Glad I also taped the poker show scheduled after the game to be safe otherwise I would have missed the last five minutes.
Akron and the zips are the new champs, now when does spring soccer start?
