Bad news. Coupled with the possible loss of reportedly AWOL Nino, the Lions are really short handed. Will this be enough excuse for another very poor record? Or will someone be held accountable?

Hands On Experience A partnership with the Sports Medicine Institute has brought a hands-on approach to the LMU campus and the men's basketball program. LOS ANGELES -- Thanks to a partnership with Chris Graham and the Sports Medicine Institute, LMU and its men's basketball program are taking a hands on approach to physical therapy, rehabilitation and injury prevention. The result is getting players stronger and healthier, faster. The LMU Sports Network continues its summer look at LMU men's basketball and the partnership with Graham and SMI-Los Angeles. The new partnership brings one of the top physical therapy organizations to the LMU campus, working with the men's basketball program and other LMU student-athletes. Led by Graham, who is a co-founder of SMI-Los Angeles, the additional on-site attention by SMI-LA continues to push LMU's training program to new levels. www.lmulions.com/sports/m-baskbl/spec-rel/072514aaa.html

This is great and all but couldn't have prevented any of the injuries from last season. Divine intervention is required to stop the infamous LMU injury bug.

Good news - thanks ADG. Plus Iron is correct, last seasons injuries - like a car accident - were not preventable by measures from the coaches. Frankly Max was snake bit for sure. I'm hoping for better fortunes going forward in any case.
