Moved some info from the Obekpa thread to create its own.

fryer4three had this:
The name that i would keep our eyes on is Max Hooper. He is also transferring from st. johns. Is an immediately eligible graduate senior, is from the california area, and has Dunlap ties. He fits the bill of the shooter we need as he knocked down 6 3's in their last NIT game.

He has YouTube links under Obekpa's thread.
For Hooper, 62 of his 65 shot attempts at St. John's were three-pointers. Made 40%.
Only played 225 minutes. Looks like the type of shooter we have been craving. Nice find, fryer4three.
Here is Hooper's bio. Impressive shooting in high school, but then played one year at a prep academy, only played two games in his one year at Harvard, then transferred to St. John's and played one year there. He has been to five schools in the past six years. Used in the right system, could be the long-range shooter we need.

Actually, upon further review, Max Hooper would have two years of eligibility. He was at Harvard one year, St. John's two years. And is graduating next month (3 years of college...smart guy!).
Would he have to sit out a year? If so, he would only have one year of eligibility, in 2015-16.
If he transfers via the "graduation waiver", he could play this upcoming season, but would only have one year. Right?
Is there any scenario where he could use the graduation waiver, transfer, be eligible immediately, and play two seasons? That would be ideal.
If anyone knows, I'd be curious.
