Dunlap adds yet another winner to the staff with great experience on his resume. I think this crew can take LMU to new levels of achievement in the coming years.

Through the recent UConn Huskies run to the championship, we were given a glimpse into Kevin Ollie's coaching style, which has been influenced by a number of coaches including Jim Calhoun and Larry Brown. However, there also was a a real personal and even "hip" element that might have come from Willie West. Anybody that has played sports knows that their first coaches, including their high school coach, are the ones that they remember and call back on when in a crunch. Not only was it a hip element but also this young but stern coaching style that may work well with today's kids.
Sandle, himself is a disciple of Coach West at Crenshaw, so perhaps he too can provide the same unique coaching style that connects with kids today. Ollie did himself well in bringing out the best in DeAndre Daniels a local kid from Taft High School. Perhaps Sandle can similarly connect with guys like Stover, Blackwell and other future local recruits.
I know Sandle took some fault at Pitt for maybe not recruiting at the high level that they were used to, but maybe back here in his hometown he can draw on some of that old network and find a couple local kids to coach up.
I'm interested in this coaching staff. Dunlap will be the guy constantly looking at tape, going crazy in practice, doing a bunch of scheming, Xs and Os, micro-managing the overall picture etc. The high school guy will probably work on skills development with individual players. I see Sandle as not necessarily the "rah rah" guy but the motivator, the guy who gets to know the kids intimately.
