Six days and counting for next season's recruits. Maybe Dinlap is willing to play with a short roster if he can't get the right players now?

I doubt any coach will start the season with a short roster...especially with the history of injuries at LMU. There are players out there.

Let's assume/hope we sign Herman. That would still leave us with two open scholarships.
It is possible Dunlap could sign two senior-transfers that would have immediate eligibility.
Then, a year from now, he would have five new players for 2015 (two senior transfers, Flint, Deji, Godwin).
By November 2015, he would have 10 of his own players, and only three carry-overs (Siame, Payne, Mornar).
Also, if he signed two senior-transfers, maybe that can be done after the May 21 deadline? And they would not have to sign two guys in the next five days that would be tied to the program for multiple years.
Just a thought.

As I understand it, May 21 is only the end of the signing period not the ecru irony period. People can still show up and accept a scholarship.

Is 21 May the day when we can stop sweating about losing more of what we have (notably Payne)?

Longtime - looks like you were victimized by your "smart" phone. Not sure what an "ecru irony" is

Thanks, Winter. It was supposed to say not the end of the recruiting period (e.g. recruiting continues and players can show-up, enroll and accept a scholarship). They just can't sign an LOI.

ESPN still shows 6'8" Marquis Godfrey as "Committed" to LMU. Is ESPN just way out of date? Did Godfrey commit somewhere else or is he still in limbo? I know LionsRoar said a while back that Godfrey isn't coming to LMU and he has reliable info.
BTW Elijah's commitment to USC takes care of the final uncommitted player in the ESPN top 100 - they're all spoken for now.
Re LMU, it is now 3 days and counting to the end of the "signing" period.

I have been searching all over for any LMU recruiting news, but there is nothing out there. I think Dunlap and staff will target a lot of Australians and Euros so information will be harder to come by.

Thanks for your efforts Roar - the suspense is killing us here on the board! We're hoping for the best but fearing the worst.

I was reading a Bill Simmons article and he mentioned something about Gregg Popovich basically always wants to admit this...
"Gregg Popovich has done everything short of admitting publicly, I like having as many foreign guys as possible, they’re wired differently, they actually know how to play basketball, they didn’t just pop out of some AAU factory like the rest of these schmucks."
Maybe dunlap is taking the same mentality? Kind of made me have more hope for our recent roster changes.

Gonzaga is loaded with Canadians (Sacre, Olynk, Pangos, etc) and going back to Turiaf (who was French) and JP Bautista who was Brazillian. St. Mary's has two NBA guys right now, in Mills and Delly, both Aussies. If you can get guys who can already understand team basketball and execute what the coach's are willing to teach, that's great. It's also what I said earlier. You can drill, drill, drill these guys because they just respect what the coach says to do. I mean, I'm a teacher, and the foreign kids tend to respect the teacher more than the domestic kids because it's just a different level of respect that other countries give authority. Here we teacher bash and coach bash. Now, I think Wiggins (Canada), Parker (raised Mormon) and Embiid (Africa) can be great pros, and that's why I'd draft Dante Exum 4th over a guy like Marcus Smart who will be a coach killer one day. I'd just like Dunlap to get some higher level recruits, even if they're international.
