As I suspected when we heard there were 5 openings on the roster, CJ is leaving per Lionsroar. See lmulionsroar.com/. CJ was a "tweener" at 6'5" with a PF's body and will probably find greener pastures in another venue. I remember his highlight game vs San Francisco in Dec 2011 when he led to Lions to victory over a squad led by another Blackwell (Perris) - with a 19 point game on 7-12 shooting : www.lmulions.com/sports/m-baskbl/stats/2011-2012/lmumbb14.htmlGood luck to CJ!

Best of luck to CJ.
Since he redshirted, if he transferred D1, he would only have one year of eligibility left.
Unless he goes D2 or NAIA, in which case I believe he could play immediately.

Surprising update on CJ:
CJ Blackwell At Kentucky Wesleyan and averaging 30 PPG with a high game of 41 against Ohio Valley. He joined a G-MAC (NCAA Div II) team as he did not want to sit our a Redshirt season. Can you blame him?
41-point game – loves that corner jumper!
Eat your heart out Dunlap - this guy is a "gun!"

I lost count on the number of times I asked myself why aren't they setting screens for CJ. I'm glad he's finding success now.

Nice to see CJ doing well, I agree. However, for the record, the 30-point average is for their two league games...19 in one, 41 in the other. For the year (12 games) he is averaging 12 points in 24 minutes and is 20-of-42 on 3's...we could certainly use his shooting touch! I see one of his teammates is from Nigeria...wonder if Scholl helped CJ land at KWC. Keep it going, CJ. kwcpanthers.com/custompages/mbkb/2015/teamcume.htm
