Props to the people who work in the Athletic Department for putting together some meaningful video. I always wondered why everything media related seemed like they were stuck in the 1990s. We have a premier academic program when it comes to film and television so its great that we can actually see our team even though they are 12,000 miles away.
As far as the team, great experience playing other national teams like Angola. This not Charles Barkley's Angola. Of course, with 9 international guys on the roster, they will have success with FIBA style of play, but it is an encouraging sign.
I'm really looking forward to seeing the Patson Siame segment coming up since this will be the first words spoken by the man (now 21 years old) to the LMU fan base since his hyped recruitment 3 years ago. More and more I think we'll never see him suit up..hope I'm wrong!

slb - I totally agree with you about the recent videos and photos. In the past, I've found the media work at times to be downright embarrassing ... especially for a school that has a well respected film and television program. Is the new and improved version a result of something Coach Dunlap pursued? Or merely coincidence?
Max Good took the Lions on a couple of these summer trips during his tenure. I never felt we saw much benefit accruing to the team as a result of those trips. I'm hoping Dunlap's discipline and focus will help our boys this year. The highlights we've seen look good......but it's pretty easy to make good looking highlight films. I hope there is substance behind what we are seeing in the clips.
Ah yes, the enigmatic Patson Siame. His video segment is now up on the lmulions.com site. I don't know his current medical status. Hopefully, he gets cleared soon. At the same time, no sense in rushing him into action if there is any question.

Latest game was also a good one for okonji. I really felt like he was slow to adjust to the college game but he's looking way way better. His stone hands seem a lot softer and he's far more patient and deliberative in the paint.
We bust these players/student's balls sometimes, and I know I voiced some grumblings over his lack of improvement from years 1-3 but the clips we've seen so far show that Godwin deserves some major props for stepping up and working so hard to not only get back in good shape, but to put time into improving his craft.
Also, once again, Matt Hayes. Love him.

Godwin put in a lot of work last summer...I watched him in some shooting drill last fall, and I noticed a considerable improvement in his form and confidence. I was expecting him to have a really great year but unfortunately he got in the car accident. I'm hoping he does very well for his final year. He has been working really hard off the court.

That's great to hear. I was expecting a lot of him coming from Findley and I'm happy to see him pulling things together. His ft% actually improved to a respectable 67% in his last year (which even shocked me when i just looked it up), so if he improves from that wow. His positioning and on court awareness look WAAAYYYY better. It's a shame we can't see what he's doing on the other end yet because I always felt like he struggled to position himself well defensively (respectable man on man defense but poor rebounding positioning). I hope we see him average at least 8 rebounds per game this year.

Uncurse - I agree with your remarks and I expect Dunlap will make maximum use of Godwin's natural skills including improved IQ on defense and the boards.
Reports from Spain are indeed encouraging.
