Over Stanford by 15! Oh Oh Well maybe they will pull a Nebraska and show up hung over or in a coma; you never know. I anticipate another 2 hours of droning on about our brilliant head coach sprinkled by references to the glory years with Bo, Hank, and Jeff. But wait we may have to share the incessant and redundant trips down memory with the DePaul glory days in the 80's with ole Ray Meyers, his son Joey, Mark Aguirre, Terry Cumings, and George Mikan, et al. I need to figure out how to get I Heart on my smart phone so I can shut the ESPN guys off.

LMU is streaming the game - you could just listen along with Jessie Katz?
On a second look at the roster, they don't look so young any more - all top players have at least one year of D1 experience.

The game is Christmas morning. I'll be playing with the kids and eating German pancakes (family tradition).

DePaul are 2 point favorites. Might be an interesting game? Winter - TIVO the game or watch with one eye.

After tomorrow, the Lions come home again to start the WCC season. Games are held over the holidays for the students, I suspect, and will probably draw light crowds but we'll see quickly how the season might go in the WCC with contests against the Waves and the perhaps underrated Pacific Tigers (on New Year's Day).

Missed the first half but looked at the stats. More points than the other night.
Evan looks to be ok. Godwin is contributing. One point game is good.
On track for 4 assists and 20 TOs - not good
Matt is still struggling with getting going. He's 0/3.
3-point shooting doesn't seem to be in the gameplan. Not many attempts.

There is a Santa Claus.
Really, if you would have told me going into this tournament that the Lions will lose badly to Witchita State, take Nebraska to OT and beat DePaul. I would have taken it.

That was a very good game except for the turnovers which haunted us in the first half. The Lions return flight will be a lot happier. I'm with longtime about this tournament and the best part is the steady improvement of the entire team over the three games. I have no doubt that Godwin is a much better player on offense, in fact, it was hard to believe that it was really him at times. Evan looks cool with things. Apparently his distress at the previous game was about his injury and not his place on the team. He was a tiger today. Pass the cool aid, I have another cup of Dunlap's system taking hold. Go Lions!

Missed it since I have company and no ready access to a radio or a computer. Thought I could catch glimpses on ESPN until I found out that it was on ESPN 3 which is not a real TV channel unless you carry a computer around with you and sign up and get a password, etc. Anyway, what an awkward time to schedule a game, wonder what the attendance was, did it break 100? Still, I doubt we will do much better with attendance for our Pacific game stupidly set during the Rose Bowl.
WHAT A PRESENT! Hard to guess whether the improved scoring was because of or inspite of the system. Does sound like Evan was back on track and someone finally coaxed Diji and others to step up offensively. Great way to ramp up for the conference. If we keep it up I will just have to forgo the Rose Bowl.
Thanks to all the Lion's, players and coaches, for giving up their Christmas to entertain us!!!!!!

You can watch a replay on line with ESPN. You'll find the Lions' play encouraging.

I was scanning evening basketball games recently and caught the end of the DePaul-Xavier game. Since their loss to the Lions in Hawaii, the Blue Demons have opened their conference season with wins over Marquette and Xavier (both no slouches) and are now 2-0 in conference! I found the fact that we beat them encouraging. www.depaulbluedemons.com/sports/m-baskbl/sched/depa-m-baskbl-sched.html
