Agree with Winter's "long season" prognosis. A poorly played game by two struggling teams. Kind of minimized any pluses; for example we had the 2-3 sort of working, but against an almost equally ineffective team. I too thought Monars back to back fouls were a turning point. (actually I thought he may have gotten a little tired). So there was the disappearance of our offense for almost 10 minutes in the second half and the usual turnovers. Need to force ourselves to keep in mind the guys are trying. USD did beat USF, so the Don's may be our next plausible target of opportunity. Unless BYU overlooks us (for about 39 minutes) and we can get an upset. BTW hope Humphries is OK, we need his aggressiveness.

I'm not so pessimistic as I thought this was a decent game until the roof fell in late. Unfortunately, our best games this season are going to look like this one: messy, grind them out affairs with low scoring. Since our offense is limited, we have to frustrate our opponents to have a shot at winning and the defense is doing OK lately.
Sorry to hear about David's injury - he's showing up well and is now a significant part of our offense and hustles on defense and on the boards.
Interesting that a walk on got the call at PG to spell Chase. That doesn't bode well for the future of our current roster of players. Dunlap may be just ruthless enough to let some guys go next season if he finds better recruits available.
