Another international roster:

Pilots are probably a bit disappointed in their season so far, especially with their upset by USF in Portland. Pre-WCC they had some good wins over San Jose State, Drake and Portland State and lost to Oregon State and UNLV in overtime games.
The Pilots have length under the boards and depth at guard so expect a competitive game. The question is, as usual, which Lion’s team will show up Thursday? If the Lions continue to play like they did against BYU and can mesh those games with Evan on the court, we have a real shot at a win.
Barker is out for the season with a knee unjury and Pressley (concussion) did not play vs the Dons.
Gametime: Thursday, Jan 15, 7 pm in Gersten Video: TheW.tv

UP is disappointed in their season. They've been dealing with a lot of injury issues. Not only does that affect who can play, it also has made it hard for them to develop rhythm and fame flow. I think Bailey is back but still hasnt gotten back to form. They've missed him. He can be a dynamic scorer

I think the USF lost was disappointing but Pilots have done a good job so far with the amount of injuries they have had. They have very good outside shooters and fast guard play which has hurt the Lions this season. It will be interesting to see how the LMU dynamic changes if Evan is back in line up. Bailey will take a few games to get back into game shape but he always steps up his game against LMU

It's strange that as of Thurs morning there's still no line on the game? Is there something going on with the Lions' roster like some guys not playing for whatever reason? Or questions of injuries on Portlands team? Go Lions!

I have been wondering when the rumor mill would produce some speculations, or even some solid intel regarding Evan's status. First he sat out the BYU game and now no line posted. Anyone?

Looks like Portland is favored by 1.5. Should be nip and tuck. Nice to see that all knowing Vegas sees that Lions team is improving.

Hello from the Rose City!
Im looking forward to what I think will be a close, tough battle tonight. I think that LMU is playing well, and is very hungry for some wins.
Do you know the status of Evan Payne for the game? Are there any other players out/missing?
For the Pilots, we lost Riley Barker to a season-ending injury vs. SCU, but have our leading scorer Kevin Bailey back in the line up after missing about 8 games earlier in the year with a foot injury; he played limited minutes vs. SCU (and looked ragged), but contributed significantly vs. USF. I look for him to be much closer to form this week. Bryce Pressley sat out the SCU & USF games due to a concussion in the GU game, but is expected to play this week.
The Pilots played GU and BYU tough, looked okay against SCU and couldnt get it together vs. USF. With Bailey and Pressley back, we will hopefully have some roster stability going forward, even without Barker. The Pilots started a few games this year with the Triple Towers of van der Mars, Barker and Gerun... no more of that without Barker.
Point Guard Alec Wintering has been a machine this year, becoming a serious offensive threat and he excels at drawing contact... if he keeps it up, he should be in the all-conference discussion. Big man Voldy Gerun is MUCH improved over last year (its like night & day), but Thomas van der Mars has struggled a bit (quite possibly due to the graduation of Ryan Nicholas who was often double teamed). Bobby Sharp's long range shooting has been mediocre at best lately--Pilot fans are hoping he has a break out game soon. Freshman Jason Todd has seen significant minutes, and is a valuable contributor (Todd came in as the 2-time winner of the Washington Gatorade Player of the Year award).
Our season so far has been "meh." We lost to Oregon State and UNLV to overtime (and IMO should have won both in regulation, especially UNLV), played well against GU & BYU without Bailey, but have struggled against some lesser quality teams (SJSU, USF?). Had we beat OSU, UNLV and USF, our resume for post season play would look much better...
Here's to a good one tonight!

Hi Pilotnut - welcome and thanks for your comments. I guess we're lucky the "Triple Towers" are the double towers tonite!
The WCC Pick'em line for the game has the Pilots giving LMU 3 points. Vegas Insider still has not line and has a question mark re the status of Evan Payne. We'll see soon.
Go Lions!

Loving it! Lions up by 11 at half without Siame. Great defense with the zone has the Pilots scrambling. Keep up the good work Lions! Balanced offense and Deji a terror on the boards.
