La Lumiere Prep School Munis’s teammates at La Lumiere include: Jalen Coleman 6’4” 185 SG Rated 4-star 87 #32 of ESPN top 100 and signed by Illinois Alex Olesinski 6’9” 200 PF Rated 3-star 77 committed to UCLA Looks like Munis has been playing with some talented teammates. Here is La Lumiere Prep school where “it is not unusual for freshman to be friends with seniors… and our theater productions draw as many spectators as our basketball games.” How cool is that? By the way, Alums include John G. Roberts, Chief Justice of the United States www.lalumiere.org/?page_id=306Seriously, it appears that Munis may be a year older than the typical high school grad (??) and ready for college ball. Godwin, Deji and AI all went to prep school before enrolling at LMU and had that age advantage.

This guy could be legit. He shows decent form and good touch on his shot. He seems to have some quickness and alertness to what is going on around him.
He's obviously enticed by the opportunity to be a freshman starter and CMD's assertion that he can play in the NBA. I hope he can make a quicker adjustment to D1 ball than the last guy CMD said had a pro future.
I'm wondering if this guy's recruitment will have any impact on Evan's decision to stay or go. From film he looks like someone who could keep up with Evan. I'm not getting my hopes up, but maybe ....

If Evan was a sophomore I'd say that for sure he'd be enticed by playing with the kid, but as as junior who knows.
Tutu seems like a PG who is a distributor and defender first with the potential to be decent offensively. Scouting reports say his shot needs some work. From the highlights he can get to the lane but being small he might struggle with finishing. The one thing is that he looks athletic. He's not Payne athletic, but shifty and quick like a PG. He can also handle the basketball under pressure which is something we didn't have this year at the PG position.
A line-up of PG Tutu - SG Payne SF Haney PF Mornar C Siame with a bench of G Hayes, G/F Humphries, PF Jacko C Herman would be on paper up there with Portland and Pepperdine in that 4-6 segment of the WCC. If they all came back.
If Evan does not come back we'll be missing a ton of scoring ability. Our guys really struggled putting it in the basket when he was not playing.

SLB - you're right about Evan. I threw that tidbit out there only because it seems to be about the first reason I've seen in awhile for Evan to think about staying. I don't know Evan so I'm certainly not speaking for him. I'm only saying what I would be thinking if I were in his shoes.
You seem to be high on Haney. How much do you know about him? How quick is his release?

The problem would still be: if Evan is on the bench he simply can't score, regardless of how good a distributor the new point guard is.

Perhaps because he's been playing in Indiana (I believe)? I don't know, just a thought.

There are definitely committed players on that time. I will say this: just because you see one online article that says "Munis Tutu is the best canadian prospect", dont rush to judgment that that is accurate. Thon Maker is the best prospect. No doubt. Tutu will be a good player for the Lions and I am sure he is one of the better Canadian prospects. But this list includes not just next years class, but soph. in high school, and juniors. He might not have made the cut because frankly he isnt one of the top 20 overall players in canada. With that said, I am looking forward to seeing him on campus and watching him develop.
