I honestly don't think LMU will finish last place. I tink 6-7 is in the crosshairs. That being said, if Dunlap puts in another last place season, I'm not sure how he isn't fired. Honestly, if there is a repeat of last year I will even moreso believe that Tention was Tyrone Willingham-ed by the administration..and I mean that in the way that you know I mean that.
I really hope it doesnt get to that. But things aren't looking good for the program. I actually trust this CBS sports writer so its a little shocking to see LMU projected so low. I mean, I expect San Diego and Pacific to still be at the bottom of things. I see LMU at least being competitive against Portland, San Francisco and Santa Clara. However, this writer said 5-8 are up in the air meaning LMU is definitely the basement. Unfortunately Dunlap has leverage on admin. If he is fired, LMU firing an NBA coach looks bad for LMU, especially an alum at that. Would be hard to find another guy to want to come in. At that point Bo Kimble might be the only option.
Unfortunately I don't see a sense of urgency from him in year one. We'll see year 2. See what is confusing to me is the idea it takes time to take things down to build them up. It's not like we had anything there in the first place lol. building up means now, not next year. It;s like he has created this false narrative in order to give himself more time. I think that is what has ruffled some of our feathers the most.
Either way, this article will be spun by Dunlap into a "no expectations = no pressure' type of narrative. So if LMU finishes 8th or 9th, he'll be touting improvement and continue with the sheeple. I honestly hope though that he has his team and will be able to coach himself into the middle of the pack at least.

As others on this board have stated in previous years, these national early handicaps don't really know or share much much beyond Gonzaga,BYU and, of late, SMC. That holds true again. Apart from talking about Gonzaga and BYU, any of us could have reviewed the various websites and tallied the departures. Nothing really to hash about one way or another in this article. We all know more. The one good thing iit signals is college basketball practice is less than 90 days away.

Very little value in this article. The writer does not have any depth about the WCC. They did not even know that Patson Siame was transferring to Florida Gulf Coast. Outside of the Big 3 schools, this person does not have much knowledge about each program.

See what you did fan blade??! Shook Lions fans out of their summer stupor! I think the glass is at least half full for next season. Yes, we have lots of unknowns but we also have a lot of unrecognized potential with our recruits. OK they were not recruits on top of Gonzagas radar but they have outstanding credentials much like several of last years new guys. OK not all of them worked out but those who didn't are gone now. I think the others are in for a better season under their second year of coach (General) Dunlap's rule. I lament the loss of Evan and his explosive scoring - I give him credit for several or more of our few wins last season. Patson - I really don't know. He had some inspiring moments on defense but exhibited some traits that I abhor. Someone said he was a problem ready to explode (liberal quote) and maybe so. Again I'll state I like the potential of our new recruits. Will the new PG bring his game to D1 ball? Is our offensive lineman the force I expect from a power forward? Will Herman step up his game - potentially our starting center? Can we replace Evan's scoring? Again the glass is half full for me. I'll update again after the red-blue scrimmage ( which was the watch me time last year for Dunlap) this fall. Or if I see some big bodies in the gym this summer. Go Lions
