We have one common foe – Boise State: Portland lost by 10 points at home; the Lions lost by one point on the road (and should have won).
Size-wise the Lions seem to match up pretty well, except for the 7'1" Hartwich who doesn't appear much of a threat from the stats. The Pilots main scoring comes from their guards and their team is averaging over 78 points per game. A good pressuring Lions defense should help a lot towards a WCC-opening victory.
Plus the Pilots will be playing their third game in four days so their legs might be a bit tired.
Gametime: Monday, Dec 21, 6 pm at the Chiles Center.
