The Gaels have done it again fielding arguably their best team in several years this season. They have key wins over Stanford and BYU, they handled UC Irvine with ease and they whipped both USF and USD by 20+ point margins.
This will be a tough match for the Lions at home but USF almost beat Gonzaga (lost a 16+ point lead) last week and there will be a major upset somewhere in the WCC schedule – why not Thursday at Gersten?
If the Lions can shoot to their top potential and continue to defend well and Jacko can stay in the game, we have an outside shot at a win. I expect a double-digit underdog status for the Lions.
Gametime: Thursday, January 7, 7 pm at Gersten.
