Also, when you have to double the post with a team that shoots this well good luck on defense...

The injured BYU' player's shoulder must be attached by paper mache if running into Spiers hurt him.

The coaching staff needs to teach the players anticipation and communication. When a BYU player drives towards the basket from the left side on a fast break, there were 4 LMU players that ran towards him and the basket, leaving a byu player at the 3 wide open. It was kicked out to him and hit the 3. One of those players should cover any outside shooters waiting at the arc. That's anticipation. It's been happening in the paint too. LMU seems to easily lose their man when they face anyone driving in. It's been like this against other teams as well. Anticipation is huge, but also communication. Someone has to yell 'cover him!'- Magic Johnson preached communication being essential on the court.

Games like this remind me how much more talented our roster needs to be before we can compete at this level.

Oh look we just gave up another lay up. Do we have the record yet!?!!?!? We are bipolar, one minute we look great the next we look like absolute dog crap!! I can't watch this. And don't get me started on our 3pt shooting, some of them are so far from going in it should count as a turnover and a missed shot. Ok rant over go lions, many more days until Manuel is eligible

One last thing. The Petr Herman experiment needs to be over. The guy does nothing for us. He's not any good

Craft - 100% agreement regarding your comments on communications. It's just one more example of BB basics that either CMD isn't teaching or the guys aren't getting.

I like Johnson but he's so undersized when we play the better teams, this makes me really want Craig to be a lion. Also what's up with our transition defense, it's never been good but this is awful. McClendon needs to stop with stupid fouls before he can get minutes. May as well make all the mistakes today and get them out our system so we can come back and get a win on Saturday.

I don't gave anything against Johnson and I'm not criticizing him. He just doesn't have the tools to play against legitimate DI teams. He's well undersized to compete against typical DI size at the 4/5 spots. And he doesn't have the hops or quickness (like Jacko) to make up for that lack of size. He tries but there's only so much he can do.

It's really like checkers when developing offensive plays and BYU staff are really good at luring at least 2 opponents towards the ball and kicking it out or in to a byu player after losing his man. It's really showing tonight the lack of anticipation our team has.

If we get Craig I think Herman gets cut.

I heard communication and transition preached ad nauseam at practice. LMU needs an injection of toughness and competitiveness. Too many spectators on the floor. That's why I'd like to see McClendon get more time. Yes, he makes some silly fouls but he's aggressive and doesn't shrink away.

I totally agree. That's another element that someone mentioned last season on the board. That killer instinct that Kobe has and Westbrook. McClendon has the tenacityz

It's going to be a long season (well, February) the way we play defense! Pathetic!

Competitiveness and toughness may be on the Needs List, but there's a long list of needs with this team.
