i would argue Tuach is, Haney had a wide open 3 from the corner and passed, he's supposed to be out lights our shooter!!!! He needs to regroup or not play
Brown, Tutu, Mornar, Tuach, Jacko should be playing most minutes, all speirs and humphries can do is shoot, and when they make shots that's great, but the other 99% of the time they are on the court they are a liability.

Disappointed!! CMD get it together. You have other teammates on the team that can help but you choose not to play them. Try five in and five out like kentucky. If you need help with the five, check the message board they have plenty of ideas. The kids are not work horses. The need a break. By the end of the game they are exhausted! As the young kids say they are A$$.

Well folks.... we just lost to one of the worst teams in college basketball. They literally are one of the worst teams in cbb, so i dont know what that says about us. Jacko with another foul out, Haney doing IDK what on that in bounds, and terrible offensive execution by the whole team down the stretch. I am pretty sick to my stomach with this one. IDK about you guys. Cant cant cant lose to USD.

Our Offense does not open the 3's often but when it does our guys are passing on the shot. So much wrong, so much timidity. Hopefully maturity will kick in soon.

I actually thought we had it until the 5 minute mark when we seemed to have a collective brain fart. That faux pas by Haney on the in bounds in the last couple of minutes was something you won't see every day. Spires must have the upper body strength of a kitten. When Jacko is out it's like the paint is open for business.
Don't know if our offensive el foldo was because our shooting cooled off or their defense got better. Probably a little of both. They took advantage of their momentum late in the game while on the other hand we decided to have a shot clock violation and wasted precious seconds dribbling and passing it around the parameter.
Not really a showcase of game time coaching prowess from our great coach, again. Afraid we may be in for a long 2nd round of conference action.

This is not good at all. CMD can tout his deceptive stories of progress any way he wants but the fact is lmu is still at the bottom of the league. The non conference wins are comprised of no name programs like Jacksonville state and antelope Valley and big west bottom feeders. You can't even blame the infamous lmu injury bug - the lions have been full strength the whole season.

It's okay. This time next year Dunlap will be telling us that this year didn't count either. He sure coaches like it.

According to CMD's post game comments, the Lions lost because they couldn't hit their shots down the stretch and didn't defend the 3-point line.
I'm glad to hear that we didn't lose because of poor coaching.

Actually the biggest reason we lost is that USD scored more points than we did.

Disappointing game - our guys lacked confidence on offense late in the game - too many passes instead of shots, especially in the last two minutes or so. Too many trunovers. Haney appears to have been put on a short leash re his 3 point shooting. And I tire of hearing how good we are at FTs when I watch us miss critical FT attempts at the wrong times. I had to watch a recorded version as I was out during the game. I'm kinda glad I didn't schedule my whole afternoon around this contest. If Portland wins, we'll be in a dog fight with USD for the bottom.
Husky is correct - we lost because USD scored more points than we did. It must be a bit discouraging for Jacko and the team.

I'll have to agree. Humphries isn't as bad defensively because he at least plays smart and has a nose for the ball. Of course one on one he's no lockdown by any stretch but I find that he doesn't chase a lot going back on D. He's also shooting better than superstar Haney. I'd give Humphries more minutes .
Whats nuts is that it's now February and Dunlap can't find consistency

Like slb, I like David also - if everyone were as consistent as David on both offense and defense, we'd have a better record and the guys would be having more fun. I think all the guys are trying their best. What discourages me right now is we seem to be playing worse ball than early in the season when we gave Oregon State and Boise State good games. I think it's overstating matters to say USD is one of the worst teams in D1 basketball, They have some talent on their squad that occasionally comes together as they did in the late going last night. Our play did not help, but USD won and I give them credit. It was definitely not a good start to the second half of the WCC season but let's see if our coach can learn from his ill-conceived precepts about how to mold a winning team. Something must be going on between the players and the coach that affects the team play. I hope we right the ship soon. The future looks optimistic, but we have seen that before and that is becoming an LMU false promise. Lets win a few more games for the guys busting their butts every day to contribute.
