We started the second half of the WCC season with a bang - unfortunately the bang turned out to be a flat tire in San Diego against a weak Toreros team that found their grove in the late going - unlike the Lions.
We continue our quixotic quest Thursday vs the 9-2 (WCC) Zags at home following their amazing thumping of USF 86-48 last weekend.
Tough going this Thursday.
Gametime: Thursday, Feb 4, 7 pm at Gersten. TV: Root-tv. Video: none listed but sometimes blacked out in LA due to Root's deals.

For gonzaga the students and community will fill up Gersten, and hopefully some big 3s and thunderous dunks get the crowd going crazy. Realistically I think Jacko gets in foul trouble guarding sabonas or wiltjer and that we all may be better off if we just pretend like this game isn't happening.

Actually Jacko held his own pretty well in the first Gonzaga game - he was our bright spot there Jacko had a double-double 19 points 11 boards and logged 37 minutes with only 4 fouls.

After the first Gonzaga "game", quite a few Zags fans commented that they wished Jacko was a Bulldog.
In that game he was a new commodity. Tonight, Coach Few knows what to expect. Other Lions better step up. If not, all Bulldog eyes will be focused on him.

I don't think there are any teams in the country that wouldn't want Jacko on their roster. I just hope it isn't one of those games where 80% of the crowd disappears during halftime.

Who predicted this starting line up?

I believe last year at this point it was 20-0 or 20-2, so at least that didn't happen again.

The McClendon experiment didn't last long. Drags is really schooled him.
The number of lay ups allowed is terrible

Tutu's 3s are helping. Jacko still doing his thing
Now, stop letting them drive the lane

I was just about to say how McClendon is doing good things, 2 steals, offensive rebound passed out for a 3, took a charge. The whole team is getting a lesson on how to properly step over a screen.

I should seriously just watch the first 5 minutes of LMU games and then turn it off. I would think we were one of the best teams in the country

Not bad so far - down only 21 at half! Go Lions!

I just want to see a highlight of Tutus block again. But being undersized and not being able to shoot is a bad combination, and until one of those change we have no chance vs good teams.

Teal36 - how many points do you want? Is 21.5 still enough?
