Haney picked excellent time to sink a couple of 3s.

Jacko on the bench during our 14 point run. Twilight zone I guess,

The Lions deserve credit for their 14-0 run very late in the game. That definitely turned the tide. Congratulations and on to Moraga!

Good win - my forecast of 3 wins is history (THANKFULLY). Saturday will be a different deal.

Did not see that comeback coming at all, time to enjoy a win and not think about Saint Mary's and how there offense will pick apart our defense...

Character Building Win. Happy for the guys. Weird stat of the night. Spiers had only attempted 8 FT all year heading into tonight. I know he's in their to be a spot up shooter but they have to have some plays where they get him the ball going to the basket.

Just saw the score and read the play-by-play. Why was Jacko out for the last 5 minutes? He didn't get hurt, did he? We won, so not complaining, just hope he was not injured.
Great team victory. Nice to overcome adversity...blow a 10-point lead, trail by 8 with under 5 minutes remaining, on the road. Very nice win.
Hopefully we can win finish 4-1 (win 3 out of remaining 4 down the stretch) and roll into Vegas with momentum.

Jacko has been fighting a lower back injury for weeks. He didn't look to be moving very well at all last night.

Happy with the win but am I the only one who still thinks we really didn't look good? Going 12-19 from three is awesome, and we were getting open shots, but we get open looks like that every game, we usually just don't make them. If we go 8-19 from three we are down 20 with a few minutes left and probably don't make a come back, and we are all on this thread talking about how we lost to UOP by 20. Good teams find different ways to win when certain things aren't working, and I feel like we have turned into a team where if we get hot and shoot 50+% from three while our opponent has an off night from deep, we win, if that doesn't happen, we lose. It is really disappointing that we have to hope to get hot, and hope the other team has an off night to beat teams like UOP.
And Tutu is starting to look a lot better and like a guy who can really be good in this league in a couple years, last 2 games he has 12 assists, 2 steals, and only 1 turnover. Still forces it in transition too often and commits one too many dumb fouls but he is looking good.
Herman is also showing like he can be a very good back to the basket post player, it seems like once a game he does a move that makes it look like he can score whenever he wants, his rebounding is also getting better.
Brown can't be going 0-3 in a game, he needs to get back to those mid range pull ups and floaters, our lack of shooting has really allowed for teams to clog the paint and shut down drives but we are way better on offense when he is assertive in the half court. He just needs to stick to the floaters and pull ups and not get caught down with the trees.

Great comments on Tutu, Herman, and Brown 2015. I had similar thoughts and definitely agree. If Herman can just slow down a bit and relax when he makes his move, he will start converting. The worst thing that will happen is that his shot will be blocked. Otherwise, he scores an easy 2.

I wouldn't get euphoric about the win. Pacific plays hard but they aren't a good team. Still, a win is a win is a win. Looking down the road, St Marys and Pepperdine will be tough because they both play defense. Santa Clara and USF are possible wins because they also aren't good teams. We have a shot at finishing a couple spots out of the cellar. I guess CMD will call that progress. But it's a bit illusory because the bottom half of the conference is about as bad as I can remember it ever being.
I agree that Tutu is looking better. He still tries his high school plays at times but he is improving. I'm not ready to classify him as a future star but he is showing the potential to play decent DI ball.
Hermann is an enigma. You're right lmu2015, once or twice a game he shows a move that tells you he could be a force. Then, it all goes away and we see a guy who can't get his feet right, who is constantly out of position, who can never seem to anticipate where he ought to be on the court.
I'm not sure what happened to Brown. He's not looking good.
The guys shot well last night but the Tigers gave them a ton of open looks. They can hit open shots but none of them are quick shooters. They need a lot more screens. We are seeing more screens than we used to but there still aren't near enough. Think Johnny Dee at San Diego. For 4 years he was a solid double digit scorer. Not because he was a particularly good player (short, poor defender, not a good passer or dribbler), but he could shoot lights out if he was open. So San Diego set screen after screen for him. It worked and he was a leading WCC scorer for 4 years. Spiers and Haney need help getting open. They're good shooters (usually) but only if they have time to get good open looks.
