I agree with the comments already posted.
Pumpfake – yes indeed the defense was key.
Ronin – yes best win.
Longtime – yes – great development of the entire team who played. Tutu will be all WCC by his Senior year if not before. Great candidate for all WCC Freshman team.
McClendon had his best game and really made an impact in the late going. His determination to get boards and loose balls was unmatched in recent history and he hit an important 3 late. Plus his driving reverse layup late in the game – wow! Tough D! Well done.
Lmu2015 – Tutu’s 3 was NBA range also to close out the first OT!
Herman continues to show improvement and increased toughness every game. Something seems to be clicking for him. Now to slow down on offense.
Johnson exceeded most folks expectations (me included) with his offensive today. And tough rebounding. He played face-up with Davis but Shamar will be back next season.
Brown is driven to win. Another nice game.
Humphries and Mornar showed their Senior leadership qualities today which meshed with our younger guys who are developing rapidly.
Mornar is “Mr. Cool” on the free throw line late in the game – thank goodness the Waves fouled him.
I’m warming to Haney – what I like best is his willingness to take the tough shot when we really need a score. While others might shy away from shooting if they feel their game is off, Haney will launch it and thank goodness he does.
One down note, Spiers seems to be in the dog-house and only got a cameo. Not sure what’s happening here.
Now – Portland needs a win and SCU needs a loss. Then on to Vegas!
