USD – Part III
The Lions take on USD in the WCC “play-in” game in Vegas. USD finished their season with a win over Portland with Senior Duda Sanadze scoring a single-game record 38 points.
The Lions are playing exciting ball even without our lead player Jacko and will rely on team play and a ferocious defense to win this Friday.
Gametime: Friday, Mar 4, 6 pm in Vegas. TV: BYUtv, TheW.tv.
Notes: The winner plays #1 seed Saint Mary’s on Saturday, Mar 5 at 7 pm. All WCC tournament games will air on BYUtv (unless ESPN has the rights) and TheW.tv.
Let the Madness Begin!

There should be no way the Lions lose this game. I really like the new San Diego coach and think he will build a very good program there. The team this year however, is really bad.

Secret will be to control Sanadze. Plus have our 3-point shooters on target. Go Shamar! And Mornar! Etc.

Between McClendon, Tutu, and Haney we have plenty defenders that should be able to slow down Sanadze.
There is absolutely no way we should lose to this USD team twice.

Interesting "t" I heard he was done this year - I'd be happy to be wrong
Lions are 2 point favorites tomorrow on a neutral court

Folks are expecting a win tonight with good reason. A word of caution - just when fans get their expectations up for the Lions, the team lays an egg and bursts everyone's bubbles. Lets hope that doesn't happen tonight. If we play like we did in our closing games, we'll get to take on the Gaels tomorrow. I want to see that one. Go Lions!

Lions shooting poorly and, uncharacteristically, turning the ball over too often but building a nice lead at half time. Johnson a thorn inside. Mornar and David quiet so far but watch out in the 2nd half. Brown playing great, Haney hitting key (if not all) shots. Herman showing he has been learning and playing great. Tutu his usual pest. Go Lions!

Usd has to be one of the worst teams in the nation.

Is anyone else tired of BYU announcers - otherwise - looking for a Kok dunk? Maybe they are thinking of Jacko?

They don't have guards that are comfortable with the ball. They are making McClendon, tutu, and brown look like the best defensive backcourt in the country.
