Early in the WCC season, the Lions lost by 25 to the Gaels at Gersten. On Feb 13, we lost 68-62 on the road with Jacko out of the lineup.
The Gaels shot 51% in that loss including 55% from 3-point range. Center Fitzner led the Gaels 3-pt scoring with 4-6 from long range.
We’ll need our best game tonite and will have to limit turnovers to have a shot.
Go Lions!
Gametime: 7 pm in Vegas. TV: ESPN2, TheW.tv.

I remember in 2006 the Lakers led by Kobe Odom and Walton were matched up with the Suns, a pre Warriors team. Phil decided that on each possession the Lakers would walk the damn ball up the court each time in order to take the Suns out of their game .
If not for a missed offensive rebound they would have won that series in 5.
It was a brilliant move to take the other team out of rhythm . Today Kerr has his team suddenly ramp up the pace in order to not let the other team get into sets.
Willingness to call for a Change of pace is extremely underrated and can be a great advantage. Wonder what we'll see tonight

Gaels appear to be 15 point favorites. I'd bet the Lions will cover if not win.

It should be a great environment. The Zags play the game after us and I expect will be rooting for us against SMC. This, we should get energy from the crowd, especially if we're in it late. Go Lions!

longtime - Good point! I hadn't thought of that.
Regarding Jacko, I heard he was done for the season from someone in the Lions' box office. The "official" position on the LMU website that it's a gametime decision is what I'd reveal if I'm the Lions coach and want to keep the opponent guessing.
It would be a nice surprise if Jacko actually does make an appearance and we pull off a big upset - it's not impossible.
And the Vegas crowd would love to see Adom play with his resounding dunks!
Go Lions!

I have a feeling the Lions broadcast may start late as the VIrginia-Louisville game on ESPN2 now had 14 minutes to play - that's a good half hour.
Hello LMU radio I guess.

Not a bad start, we need to rebound better to have a chance.

Tutu, brown, McClendon, and tuach all on the court at once is a great defensive lineup.

Assuming this isn't a dream - we could do this. St. Mary's was indeed rattled. With both our big men on the bench and Jacko out, our big man has been monar. Haney has been playing like a stud on the inside. I expect Randy to remind them of their size advantages so I hope we can have continued success on the outside. This could be another cliff hanger. Go Lions
