On another note, LMU held their HS team camps over the previous two weekends. This is an event where they invite numerous local teams to play in tournament like games and the coaching staff observes players. I was only able to make it up there one day, but didn't see much D1 talent playing, but if anyone else has any insight, that would be appreciated.
I also spoke to Reggie Morris who had his Culver City HS team playing...

Can you please give some detail on the conversation with Coach Morris? Very curious to see how that went. The fact that his team is playing at the camp gives some information on the relationship between him and current staff and school, as if it was truly an awful breakup I doubt he would have brought his team here.

He was very friendly with all the coaches at LMU, and several players were really happy to see him. The fact that he has his Culver City team up there and is still coaching bodes well for the fact that he hasn't left to another program...but out of respect to him, I didn't directly ask if he was leaving.

Morris seems like a good guy, and I'm sure he wasn't going to let any issues he had stand in the way of his CC players experiencing the camp.

Or, just maybe, there weren't any problems.

Yeah, why would you give up a D1 assistant job to go to Culver City High School, then go take another D1 job at the rival school the next year.

I sense tongue-in-cheek there! Everyone knows Dunlap is a loveable fellow and easy to work with.

Adding to lions90045 post, in addition to 2021 PG Kieth Simpson getting a scholarship offer, lmu also offered a scholarship to his teammate 2021 SG Keith Higgins Jr. Keith’s dad played basketball at Colorado and CSUN, and his sister Valerie played at USC for her freshman year, and sat out last year after transferring to Pacific.

Thanks Jack interesting. But I expect changes at LMU before we get to the 2021 recruits.

I go to school with Kenneth and Keith and both players are better than any other players I've seen in that age group. They both started on varsity in their freshman year last year in the mission league against top competition such as Harvard Westlake and Crespi. If we can land these guys I believe it would be a huge steal but their recruiting will likely pick up in the next few years

Thanks for the post.
I've never seen such recruiting activity from Dunlap's staff. Amazing what replacing the Athletic Director can do.
Ward seems to have a body that will fill out and add strength. I like his athleticism especially the reverse dunk.
Owens looks like a skilled hard working wing.
