I think GoLions1444 quick comment on 21 assists is important. This is a big step forward for us. We haven't been running plays for our scorers effectively or finding the open shot consistently. I think we average around 10/11 assists per game...usually less than our opponents. This is also a sign that we are coming together. Perhaps the "tighter rotation" Drew Viney mentioned Stan is deploying may be helping this? I still contend that Dominick Harris can dominate more games if we ran more screens and plays for him. His confidence has blossomed, and he is ready to take his game to another level.
Three 20+ scorers are outstanding. Seeing Kelli get his shot back more consistently was encouraging as we head for some tough league opponents. Good for him! Alex has developed into a nice inside and outside player for us. Love his determination on defense too. When he locks down on defense...the whole team is better.
Welcome back Juice. Let's keep bringing the ball down with pace.
A nbdlion reveal would be a blast for those that have been coming here for years. (I read more than I post!)
Cheers!

Good points Whelan. On the assists front, making shots sure helps. I am sure there were a number of games where 10/11 assists could have been 15/16 if shooters knocked down open looks. That said, there are also the times where the ball movement is stagnant and the shooter heaves a late shot to beat the shot clock. Just think this game is a lot easier when shots are going in. Hopefully my comments here don't resemble Magic Johnson on twitter where he states the obvious unironically. As, Alex commented postgame, the 2nd half offensive explosion started when they picked up the intensity on defense. Once the shots started to fall, it became contagious. The Lions have established themselves firmly in the middle of the WCC. They aren't elite and they aren't a bottom feeder. Let's hope that the next few weeks have them challenging USF and/or Santa Clara for the 4th spot. Heading into the tournament as a top 4 seed would be huge as no one in the league is invincible this year. Final thought - I sure like Michael Graham. The guy brings it every night and makes winning plays - put-backs, keeping balls alive on the boards, tips, blocks, etc. He never tries to do do too much given his limited skill set and is a solid contributor when he's on the floor.
