What is Pintens thinking? Exactly what I was thinking. I’m not really in the mood to change head coaches. We’ve been in that revolving door since Westhead and gotten nowhere. But something needs to be done. I know if I were the AD, I’d have Coach Stan in my office this week for some lengthy discussions.

Sheldon had a lot of versatility on offense. Harris does not. Harris has tremendous athleticism. He can jump out of the gym. He’s quick. He’s an excellent set shooter. BUT you can’t trust him for more than two dribbles. His body goes a lot faster than he can control so he’s constantly over-extended. Which leads to turnovers. He does not shoot well on the move. He HAS to have help getting open. IF Coach Stan would develop some plays that set screens for Harris to get open set looks, he’d shoot double digits every game. I like the guy. I really do. But the coaching staff has got to help him overcome his deficiencies. Agree 100%

I'm incredibly disappointed in this season, but am not sold on a coaching change either. For perspective, Herb Sendek is a vastly more experienced coach vs CSJ and has led major programs (NC State and ASU). His SC program was going nowhere after 5 full seasons! Their AD had patience. In year 6, Herb started to see results (NIT berth) and now, SC is in their 3rd straight season of being a force in the WCC and on pace for another 20 win season. The point is, programs like ours and SC that don't have strong histories can take time to build. In CSJ's 4 seasons, we have undeniably seen improvement in fundraising, memorable wins (@gonzaga, Jamaica), and improved student attendance vs the previous decade (although I hate that our current student section is too cool to cheer). The optimist in me wants to believe (perhaps naively) that more patience with CSJ may result in CONSISTENT on the floor results soon. I can dream, can't I?!

Hope you are right lmu. I think Coach Johnson is learning about what type of players it takes to be a winner. Some transfers simply haven’t worked out (Taitz) and others have made a minor impact on the program so far. Some look good on paper but don’t not deliver in games. And lots are inconsistent - scoring big some games then disappearing in the next. Player development is also questionable (Issanza). Maybe we need better assistant coaches to work with the players? And we surely need better game plans to optimize the offense with what we have now. If Pintens is looking for a head coach who might catch “lightning in a bottle” again here at LMU, he must be taking a serious look at our current crew.

Good point about development 90045. Issanza has god given raw tools but he sadly hasn't developed in to who we hoped he'd be.
Now that I think about it, the only player I can think of in the last 4 seasons that had a noticeable development year over year was Cam Shelton.

Alex M has been substantially better this year over last year, but your point is well taken.

Great point, agreed Alex has certainly improved since last season.
