Ironlions, When would these kids sign? Havent most hs seniors already signed?? And do you really think there is a chance LMU has a chance still at Vinson? Or is he doing that just to make LMU fans feel like he still likes LMU after decommitting? Lawson looks like a stud and would be a great get. If we could get Osborne and Lawson that would be great. It would mean letting Sweezy and Sutton leave though.
And who is this Canadian stud PG. You cant say we have a canadian stud pg being recruited and not give his name. Come on now....!!!

Any recruits that committed would sign during the spring signing period. I'm not sure about Vinson... I'm more interested in getting Lawson. I want to know as much as you who this PG...Waterboy brought up the subject. I hadn't even heard about him.

Incidentally thx4leavinjimlynam, I checked on this Travis Fulton fellow and he doesn't show up on the ESPN insider screen. Doesn't mean that he is not a player, just that he is not a presence on the recruiting screen at this time.

Thanks for the update regarding Travis Fulton, wrschnicke.
The Elder Gottlieb has seen Lawson play three or four times, has seen our coaches at the games, and likes him a great deal, but said Fulton was the best non-committed-Division I player in southern California. Since the Elder Gottlieb's son is ESPN's Doug Gottlieb, you would think the Elder Gottlieb would alert his son about Fulton.

First google search on Travis Fulton revealed a Mixed Martial Arts contestant (The Ironman), an artist and a PGA tour player. Will try to refine the search.

Quincy's Vista High School team lost to Rancho Bernado's squad this weekend, 49-39 in the Division I quarter finals (of San Diego region??). Lawson was held to points in the game. He is still averaging 22.7 ppg. Maybe they key on him?

I'm talking to myself here but Lawson may be our final recruit for next season. Don't see LMU kicking either of two mid-quality players with something still to offer the team off the squad - would not look good. We'll wait to see what Vinson does, then bring in Lawson. Osborne in the hole (golf terminology for third).

OK alert2 but aren't athletic scholarships expected to be four year deals? Unless there is some irreconcilable difference between coach and player? Or academic issues? Or greener pastures? On second thought, is this a one way street, the players reserve the right to bolt if they want to sit a season, don't they?

Kerry Keating told three or so players at the beginning of this year that they weren't in his future plans. One of them, Gunderson, was a quality player who went to my high school. The three of them of no longer on the team. It happens in college basketball from time to time.

If you check the scouting reports on "Undeclared" players in any position, Lawson is now in position #27. May draw some attention from other quarters as well as LMU. When do these guys finally commit to a school? I know we got some very respectable player late in the recruiting season after Bayno came on and cleaned house.

OK I am totally stoked about this Lawson kid. The kid sounds like he is committed to defense and is more of an undersized big. For those who have seen him play whose game would you compare him to? Is like a Diamon Simpson type, or like a Corey Belser (uSD player from a couple years back)? Does he have a jump shot? He averaged over 24 a game this year, so he has to have a couple ways of scoring in his repertoire.
Are there any videos of his game?
