Big game for the lions. Pepp has been erratic like usual in recent games. They beat SCU by shutting down Angley but where blown out worse than the lions against SMC. The lions will probably be 5 point dogs this game in Vegas and deservedly so. LMU will need to play hard to get the win. I hope the fans come out and support the seniors. Go lions!

Now we just need a LMU alum registers a "wavesfanforlife" to get me going again...
Pretty sure we will win, I mean it can't be worse than what it already had been, right? It's due, I can feel it.

Nothing like losing to Waves at home (swept last two years) to end this lovely season.

Sigh, not much to add here.
Looking for any bright spot: I thought Sutton played well in limited minutes. He showed hustle in the first half (pretty much the only one). Looking at the box score I saw he had 6 boards in 8 minutes. Wondering why he didn't get more minutes in the second half?

I think Sutton and QT have improved. QT still has aways to go before he is a legit D1 threat but I 'm glad to see some improvement.
I don't understand Sutton's limited minutes. Maybe it was RT trying the "small" lineup thing... I don't understand. It obviously didn't do us any good.
Worse thing about the game was that we could have easily won. When we held the waves scoreless for almost 10 minutes and were within 2 but couldn't connect on anything even point-blank layups. It was sickening to watch us beat ourselves like that.
OJ making not a single basket was also pretty terrible. That hurts. Deadwiler has also been invisible these past few games in the scoring department. Not something we need if we wanted to end the season on a good note. I guess now we just need to END the season.

A disgrace........truly a disgrace.
If this doesn't wake up Lawton - nothing will.

I wish scholarships were revokable...
I was on campus in the early morning yesterday and BUMS like Maynard show up at 11:30AM for a 1PM tipoff? I remember when I played HS ball and I would show up 3 early to watch tape, get taped and prepare mentally ESPECIALLY against my rival HS... WHERE IS MASON'S LOVE FOR THE GAME!??!?!??! On a brighter note, I did see Sutton show up at 9AM...
DOES ANYONE IN THE PROGRAM HAVE ANY PRIDE??? OR MANHOOD?? We let the WAVES come into Hank's House and win like that??? If I were a scholarship athlete on pace for a 5-25 season, I would be working my ass off to not be a LOSER. Cuz it looks like our team has a bunch of losers with no respect for themselves...
After the game, those low-life Waves fans talked a whole bunch of trash saying "swept again" and "even we can beat you... with an INTERIM COACH" and we as the ROAR can't even verbally defend our team without lying to ourselves... This season has seriously tarnished my senior year and affects how I feel about donating a cent to our crappy AD... As we all know problems start from the TOP... i.e. George W.
Congrats to Kanne for starting, maybe it will show some of the younger guys something...

I know we're all frustrated, but calling players out is not cool. These kids aren't professionals; they are students trying their best. I actually think Mason hustles a lot more than some of our more favorite players, and IMO deserves more playing time.
BTW, Kanne starting was due to Senior Night, not bc of his effort; although it was well-deserved.

A COMPLETE DISGRACE. But strictly consistent with the whole season.
Tension needs to go. Fans in my section on Saturday afternoon were saying "Let's go Tention" "Come on Tention." The sarcasm from the fans in the second half of the season reminds my of some of the dry years under Bradley. Tension time is dried up. Time for him to retreat back to the dessert in AZ.

BTW, Kanne starting was due to Senior Night, not bc of his effort; although it was well-deserved. Frustrated is an understatement... I agree that they aren't professionals and that their still young, but they are certainly not "trying their best." The lack of hustle is apparent when you look at our rebounding. Ziri clearly tries his best and out-rebounds our bigs... That shouldn't happen as he is listed at 6-2... I wasn't trying to attack the players, given time they will develop *crosses fingers* It's the attitude of the program that needs to change, we need to get out of this "losing" attitude and it starts with recruiting some gym rats. Guys who will dedicate their 4-5 years to basketball and make every effort to goto practice early, dive for loose balls and use their free time to shoot foul shots in the gym (like Charlie Brown used to do). We'll improve, at least I hope so for RT's sake.

LMU2008, you need to get your facts straight. If LMU has a 1 pm game, the team has a shoot around and team breakfast in the AM prior to the game. Before you start calling out players and calling them BUMS, do you know if Maynard missed both of these required team events? I don't think so, otherwise he wouldn't have played 20 minutes against the Waves.

That's what I thought too. RT would have sit Mason down if he arrived late for game or practice. Plus, nobody really knows what their class shedules look like...Mason may have a late morning class, you never know.
The thing troubles me is fans spreading rumor in hope to have their ego fullfilled. I read some of the comments here and afterward I thought "mmm, am I just getting an earful of your ego now? " Not healthy for the program and not cool as a person.
