I've always thought you're a good man, Lions90045. Great news for LMU. Let's start the fundraising for the new arena! Keep it to max capacity of 5,000 or so. A nice arena style gym with baseline seating. But let's keep it intimate with all seats on top of the action and acoustics designed to keep the sound in and intimidate opposing teams.

Just because a few neighbors are fine, doesn't mean the NIMBY's aren't out in force. How would you feel if some of the NIMBY's cost and/or delayed, LMU a chance to build a new arena, with a stupid lawsuit?
When people buy a house near a school, any school, they are naive or just stupid, if they don't think a school isn't going to expand. Many local elementary schools are always expanding because of increased student enrollment.
I live near where that jerk wants to build a stadium for a NFL team. I hate the NFL but I don't know what would be worse, the NFL not having a team in LA or seeing Jackassville move and thus making Tags and Badall look like a bunch of jackasses for rigging the 93 expansion.

LMU should be smart about this and set up a direct fund for the new arena. Instead of donating to the school, or athletics in general I could see a lot of people getting behind a direct fund for the new arena to see it get up as soon as possible. with the growing momentum behind the team the demand for a better arena will only increase.

A dedicated fund could also help in recruiting in a couple years. Knowing that a nice new arena is coming down the pipe is sure to get a recruits attention. That and it very much shows the school's dedication to creating a long term successful basketball team.

Any ideas as to Coach Dunlap and these previous moves for a new complex? This was 5 years ago.

Let's see how this season goes - I'm not sure he has endeared all the Lions' fans but I'm kinda excited about the new guys he is bringing in. Some bulk inside. Some ball handlers outside. And a few bangers with a shot on the perimeter. Hoping for a good season showing progress. Go Luins!

Great - now the guys in the lower seats will be able to see the scoreboard. Some seats were blocked by speakers I believe
