my 2nd grade teacher always accused me of inventing new words, I guess she did have some points.
However, this is a lions board for LIONS FANS, not a traitor like you.

lmu, once again, how am i a TRAITOR? i HAVE been attending LMU games since I was 5, so I am an LMU fan. My family has season tickets every year. I just so happen to be a huge Zags fan. Living in westchester, I am unable to attend all the zags games. I guess its similar to a clipper fan being a laker fan. But its not being a traitor. grow up.

Sorry to hear you are stuck here in weschester, I know how it feels, there is no place like home. Spokane, WA.

Let me point out the one flaw in the love shown for a supposedly gritty, team oriented Gonzaga team. That ship has sailed. Gonzaga is no longer the feel good story that they once were. For one, the change to the double bye tournament is testament to the enlarged ego of the Zags, not wanting to be held down by the conference that they only began surpassing in the last decade. When I was at the tournament in Spokane a couple years ago, I saw how that smugness spread. The band sat in the San Diego section during the semis, and because we cheered for the underdog, nearby Zag fans kept giving us the evil eye, and kept trying to egg us into brawls. And, after the finals, I tried congratulating a couple members of the Zag pep band for their performance that night, and they completely blew us off.
I can understand it if you wanted to pull for them when they were actually starting out their cinderella run. But, the fact that you still hold this team in such regard that you would throw your own alma mater, and that of your father and grandfather, under the bus is beyond me.
Besides, one of my best friends was the head of the Cage for its duration, and we both can agree that anybody that can cheer for Adam Morrison has serious issues.

really? I dont find fellow zags fans rude or snobby. but then again i am not around the fans in spokane. I live here. But seriously, how am i throwing my alma mater under the bus? I root for them every game besides Gonzaga. The funny thing is I am more of a fan than most of you who are ragging on me. Another thing, I know Zags fans if you go on their board and talk about the LMU program or Gonzaga program in an honest way, they will respect you and give you courtesy. And as a poster on both boards I can definately tell you that from what I have experienced so far, the posters on the Zags board show much more respect and courtesy for fans of other teams. And I went to that tournament up in Spokane also that year, the year ayer missed the layup in the finals correct? I found the Zags fans to be nothing more than courteous. Im sorry you had another experience.

Dude, give it a rest.
On the topic of LMU-Zags fan duality--
During 2006, when Gonzaga visited Gersten, (when Worthy was concussed, and Morisson went apesh*t), I found a zags fan taunting lmu students, with his AMMO jersey revealed under his ROAR shirt (who knows where he got it).
I broke his nose.
So, in that sense, I'm pretty much over this whole discussion. LMU fans, let's try to focus on our team's issues, and not on one "fan"'s inane ramblings.

Don't come here telling us you are a bigger lions fan than "most of us". Right, we are supposed to take that with grace.
