Relax Dead Man...I was not saying that we should fire RT. If you look at my other post in full sport of him, and think he should have more time to develope our young players. Aggers was forced to resign for far less and we if we keep losing games we should at least be competitive in I don't think Husack will keep Coach around too long. Look at the status of the WCC, coaches getting canned mid season. Davey a coach with 30 years at Santa Clara forced out last year.
I also agree that we should delete this whole post and wait to have this discussion at the end of the season.

Dead Man I think your confusing me with Lionspride. Again, I want RT to have time to develope our players. I have been a LMU fan for 12 years and will support the coaches and players no matter what. In 2000 when we lost every single D1 game in the season I went to every game and cheered for the Lions. Is you anger directed towards me or towards this "poll"?
BTW do you walk up to the bigs and say to them as you previously posted " The BIGs are doing in my opinion NOTHING and I see fear in there eyes, Big John and every other player just walked on them. I don't care if your a Freshman you play with Heart, GUTS and a SOUL.

I think they are good but they got to play harder and give/lend more support. I'm a straight shooter. The real question is how much do I get on my own, now thats a LOT. Like SDOT getting dunked on tonight but he says he didn't but I say he did, lol..... Sorry for confusing you with whomever the other guy/gal is but we got to get rid of this post. I don't have a problem with criticizing play but when you call for jobs/heads this is not the forum for that. |

Administrator can we get rid of this thread? I certainly respect your, lmu, and ironlion's opinion about wanting to delete this thread. However I do feel it should stay open. So far the conversation has been not been completely negative. Over 80% agree RT should stay on. As long as it does not devolve into a flame war I think the thread is okay. By deleting this thread I will unfortunately not be able to delete the questions that many fans do have about RT's future. At least now we can keep all talk about probable coaching changes here instead of every other thread on the board. Ironlions did spoil some of the suspense by posting that Husak has no plans of removing RT this season. I am sure that will stand. |

Fanblade, you don't allow flame war but you allowed lionspride going full blast at scoop and other members on the board? You allowed him to start a revolution and ask everyone to bug the hell out of lawton? I am sorry but I don't believe this. You had problem with us going off topic on the other thread but you have no problem with a thread like this to the detriment of our basketball team?  Nobody wants RT to be fired, it wasn't even a question to ask. This is one man's wish and he is seemingly getting his wish. I would hate to loose RT just because one fan not happy with the coach. I am also alma mater of another university and we discussed about a coaching change on that board as well...but it wasn't anything like this. This is dividing up the fans and the team. I hope you sense what's happening here. |

I think you just lost a FAN, Parent and maybe now I understand my Special Responsibility the LMU Alum told me I had in another post. I think I will not Post on a board that allows for this type of action to occur against our Coach. Its destructive to our program and support of the Coach we have and love. Over and out. |

That's an interesting story there on Kwame Brown. Looks like he's a 3 that will go to the 2. I had thought we had recruited him as a point guard. Sounds like the kid knows how to score.

you guys are wacked. you only want info on the board that you agree with. it is an open forum, so those who want him gone can speak out those who want him to stay can speak out. if a recruit is deciding where he wants to go based on stupid comments on a board is crazy. if you want to get rid of coach comments, i vote that no parents can comment on the board either. you are way to biasd to be taken seriously. this should be an open forum for all, even the lame ones.

I singled those two out because they posted in the now-deleted thread, where the personal attacks got way overboard. But the same rules apply to everyone. Posts can be edited and deleted, and posters can be banned. I've never done it, but I'm willing to.
I'll be honest, I have better things to do than spend my life seeing if anyone has said anything horrific about a fellow member of the Pepperdine family. I didn't know about the worst of it until after someone decided to challenge me and say the board was out of control. Dude, I was offline for four hours. I agree with the last poster.
I'm an LMU grad (class of 94). Since 1990, we have only had 4 winning seasons. That's right - 4.
We've suffered thru the Olive regime, the horrendous Bradley regime and as an alum, it pains me to no end to see us in the bottom half of the conference year in and year out.
That being said, coach Tention is a much better coach, teacher and leader than the coaches that have come and gone (like the 2 I mentioned in the paragraph above) since Westhead left. He has helped bring in recruits that LMU would have NO CHANCE bringing in 5 years ago.
There is light at the end of the tunnel here in Westchester. I would love for our program to be on top (or darn near it) every year in the WCC and believe that RT has the bluerint to get us there. Keep in mind that we are the youngest team in the conference and have only 1 senior on the team.
Things will get better......I promise.

I have to stick up for Fanblade. The guy who administer's this board. What a huge fan and a time committment. He is showing more commitment to LMU Athletics than well some of those involved directly at the university.
I stick by Fanblade's decision. Freedom of Speech, people. If you don't like it, then I think you need to consider moving to another country.
