Gonzaga versus Stanford tonight. Will be interesting to see how the bulldogs fend off a surprisingly potent Carndinal. Will be on FSN West, 8pm, for those who get it. Do they even have a possibility to be ranked if they beat SU? Or was the loss to SMC too great to overcome. I'd love to see the lions defeat (25) GU in LA. ;D I don't forsee Gonzaga making the Top 25 even if they beat Stanford. If USC beats Oregon again (on Saturday), they'll re-enter the Top 25. |

I agree, Stanford really isn't that highly ranked to push GU back onto the scene. It would be an important pickup for the zags if they lose the wcc championship and are on shakey bubble ground.

Zags win 90-86. Good to see WCC team beat a Pac-10 anyday. Very good win for the Zags, overcoming the notorious horrid Pac-10 referees in beating a team that just swept the ranked SoCal Pac-10 schools last weekend. |
