I looked at Santa Clara's message board and it seems that their recruit Paul George who already verballed to SCU maybe changing his mind and heading to Peperdine. Any truth to this??

I think this is just a rumor. I believe that they are out of scholarships for next year.

Just looked at SC's lineup of commits. They've got a very good class coming in . I guess it helps to run off of UCLA's coattails but we'll see how Keating can get the job done on the floor and not in the office in a few weeks. I'm sure Walberg would love to steal some more verbaled WCCers but ironlions is right about no more scholarships. Unless there are more Westphal holdovers he can shove out the door.

Will be looking into this. Don't be surprised if it is true.

That post on the SCU board was by a first timer. Probably just rumor. I haven't seen anything around the 'net to substantiate it.
MVL - what do you mean by "don't be surprised if it is true"?
The story on the Oregon point guard is that he contacted Pepperdine on his own after verballing to LMU. Yeah a flakey move, but thanks to UPStonehouse, Walberg now is perceived as the 'walking NCAA violation'

It seems to many people besides UPStonehouse that Walberg may be shady.

And all too predictably, while everyone with common sense sees something shady in Wahlberg's recruiting strategy, those in the 'bu have their heads in the sand. I still think there's no getting around the fact that the switch was made to a school not even on Ameer's prospect list. Why would he all the sudden switch to our rival school, one that had a worse record than us ad with an inexperienced, upstart coach without him being contacted out of the blue?

Don't be surprised if LMU uses much of what Wahlberg invented in Dribble Drive Motion. Bayno will incorporate the style, possibly even heavily. It was fun to bag on him at bleeperdine, but his system is genius and that's a great hire for Kellogg at ZooMass.
