I emphasize with SLB but I appreciate your perspective and wisdom Longtime. I'm a newcomer and wish we would stop harkening back to the Hank Garhers era to judge current prospects - that was an anomaly and we need to move on .

Hi Ironlion, yeah he had options. Most of the Aussie kids that Dunlap will get might seem to you to be unknown, however he never gets an 'unknown', he is just crafty with his recruiting. I couldn't gives names earlier or it might ruin this.

Yes, we've been able to enjoy some "hyped" preseasons recently only to see the team under perform. I'd much rather lay low and watch the wins come in once Dunlap has put together a team he is comfortable with. The waiting is excruciating, but in the meantime there should be news about our schedule that can create some excitement.

Nice to see that we were able to get confirmation on LOI for the last two recruits, and it does look like there is some definite potential for this team. I think I like the fact that we might come into next season under the radar or with a lot less recruiting hype then in past years. We all know that we have had plenty of hype on our incoming freshman classes the last few years, including pre-season predictions of winning WCC freshman of the year (all of which i fully bought into, and touted on this board) only to have the actual season end up in disappointment.
So I'm at the point where i am not too concerned about winning the perceived paper recruiting wars on paper, and would rather see actual in season results and progress.
I agree with the previous posts that the additional size at guard and perimeter should not only help with our perimeter offense, but will also help with our perimeter defense as well. Something that LMU has definitely struggled with the last few years.
Can't wait to get a first glance at this team in action, and i agree from the posts on other threads that there is a public preseason scrimmage that fans can see. Hopefully we are getting to the point where we can say that the roar has been restored!
