I would love for us to win tonight...but that will only happen if there is a miracle down in San Diego. Jones and Pomare destroyed our bigs at Gersten and I see more of the same tonight. Just like that the regular season is over. It has been an extermely diffcult season to be a Lions fan. I have a feeling that we might have some transfers in the off season, and I hope we use the open scholarships to address our needs for a big man. I look forwared to wathching Kwame and Wendell in the summer. I hope our guys work hard to improve and we can have a fresh start in the fall. Go Lions

Go Lions ironlions....nice to see you are jumping on the insight I brought to the board about 3 weeks ago about the transfer situation. I have been told by sources closest to some players that a transfer is definitely on the table for some. If there are transfers, what does that say about our program? Answer: Some players have LOST ALL FAITH in Tension, his system, and the way he coaches. Therefore, Tension is at the center of the problem. Besides, giving Tension more spots to recruit is a receipe for further disaster. Look at this strategy over the past two years. A bunch of guards. Guards that do not even get more playing time than former walk-on Counts. Everything is leaning towards a coaching shake-up. If Husak does not see it, then I question his abilities. Funny thing is that RT may be able to redeem himself in Husak's mind if RT can pull off an upset victory against Pdine or USF in the first round of WCC tourney play. That may not be out of the question considering it would be on a neutral court. I don't hold my breath for this, but I bet RT is DREAMING of this situation and being able to delivery a win for Husak to provide an excuse not to fire him.

We get the point you hate Tention Lionspride. I don't HATE Tention. I talked with him a couple times over the years and he is a very nice, but rather quiet guy. From others that have daily interaction with him, they say he is a stand up guy. All are probably true. However, he has not proven himself to be a D1 coach within the last three years. His recruiting strategy is aweful. As such, I just dislike Rodney's coaching abilities. Nothing against him personally.

I respect that fact that you have meet him in person, and only dislike his coaching abilities.

Looks like there are more Roar kids in the audience than USD fans. Their bigs in the first minute are already having their way with us. We look frantic, frazzled, and underweight.

Congratulations Rodney on your 25th loss this season. Almost more losses this season than his total D1 coaching victories over a three year period (a period in which he had two WCC all-conference players and a all-defensive player of the year). Rodney Tention's record at LMU: 30-61. A 32.9% winning record. This season has been a complete embarrassment. 20+ losses in conferences. I believe only 2 home wins this season. Little improvement showed over the season. Monday, March 10 should be the day that Husak let's Rodney Tention resign. We can hold our breath, but I sincerely doubt he has the guts to do it.

Sorry, but its a tough draw on a Monday night vs. the last place team in the WCC. I always thought Rodney would do a better job up at LMU. I'm not sure what the future holds for LMU but you guys deserve better. Good luck at the tournament - you have some good fans!

I'm almost tempted to suggest that the "you" in the "you, you, yooooouuuu suck!" foul chant be replaced by "we."

I like that OJ and TD were getting shots. We need to build the program, whatever is left of this hellstorm around them.

I like that OJ and TD were getting shots. We need to build the program, whatever is left of this hellstorm around them. I'm going to speak out for some that won't. This season was a not fun. OJ and TD have to learn how to play defense and they will thus being solid next year. OJ needs to learn how to play team ball, I like how he wants score but playing defense is how you win games. RT needs to be consistent as a HC too many rotations and very few games where the team was a cohesive unit. QT, I'm not sure what to say or do. The more we scored this year we gave back in TO's but that will change next year now that the players have a year under there belt. The funny thing is the outlook for this team next year is not bad at all but the biggest thing is RT has to become a consistent HC. LMU is stuck with bigs on scholarship, I hope some move on but if not they will have to get better and better over the summer. I had a more positive outlook early in the year but after watching or not being able to watch some of these games over the past three weeks I'm a little sorry for some players that I did not think got a chance to play there type of game. RT has to find a way to let Deadwiler play, he has him shooting almost all 3 ptrs but he's a slasher/scorer but you rarely see play calling or plays being run for him just a bunch of 3 ptrs going up, not only for him but it just stunk with respect to play calling. I'm trying to find the positives but its hard. Offseason workouts are going to be key, also in season strength training is very important, the team seemed very weak (muscle mass) over the past three weeks. Rough season and the players need to be coached and coached well. RT please get it corrected because these players deserve to win, the school deserves a winner, the alum and boosters deserve a voice and winning team but allowing non team ball to be played is not the way to get it done. It seemed if one player had a good game then someone was out of the rotation, not sure thats how I would do it so I call for a better coaching effort from RT next year. Not going to do grades but overall I'm happy the season is over and look even with the WCC tournament 4 days away, I'll call it over now.

The commentators were pretty blunt about the strength of our team. Took many asides to talk about the need for these guys to go to the gym. I hope we still have a weight room. The physical size and athleticism disparity between us and good teams is glaring, to put it lightly.
We need a lot of work.

aacoach:
Nice posting. Finally, we are starting to have a majority noticing the central problem....coaching (although we have other problems, this is the focus). You have a nice way of putting it. Many on this board probably think I should learn from your entry. Unfortunately or fortunately, I am just blunt honest with the cold hard facts. Kudos to you on your honesty. I hope we can turn things around next year (with or without Rodney). The players deserve to win and hopefully with off-season workout, they will do their job.
