The news is on the LMU athletic website. Folger Consulting is assisting with the search for a new coach (per the website).

Now looking back at the USF game and Dunlap’s handshake line snafu, I agree with the person who said that Dunlap probably knew he had to win two games to save his job.
C’mon Pintens! If you let Dunlap go, you must know who you want to replace him! Please come through.
Go Lions!

Not sure he would have survived even with two wins?

Never really understood the consultant thing. They always have an agenda and remember the Pump Brothers fiasco hiring Bayno over Turner.
Ultimately the responsibility and decision rests with the AD. Seems like it is a waste of money and it brings in outsiders who don't have a true understanding of the program and its needs.
Also it is Fogler consulting not Folger. As in Eddie Fogler former head coach at Wichita, Vandy, and South Carolina.

no worries, maybe you didn't have your coffee, lol.
Just was digging for info and couldn't find it at first.
Cut and pasted something in the coach speculation thread.

Pitt, Colorado State, JMU and UNLV used Fogler in their search’s. One cited fee of $25K.

UNLV appeared to do well with their hire.
JMU would be a huge swing and miss. Their coach is awful and likely to get fired.
Pitt is Capel right, don't like him.
Had to look up CSU. Never heard of the guy.

I’ve been checking all day and still somehow missed the news. Go figure.
Ironically, the most activity this board has had all season is after the season ended two days ago. That should tell you something. And it’s not like we don’t care. We’re a passionate bunch that’s been bored to death by Dunlap. I think losing, we’re sadly used to, but boredom has been a new experience in my fandom since jumping aboard in ‘04.
I think the key to the hire is someone that will excite the fans. That’s the way to draw attendance and bring in the big dollars to build the arena.
I wonder of getting visited by the members of glory years finally got into Pintens’ ear. I don’t think this has Snyder’s handprints although he had to ok whatever buyout.
