I hope there isn't pressure to go after a big name; just hire the best candidate... Don't think Few or Bennett were big names prior to their jobs. Just get someone who can recruit the LA area, best talent in the world is within 20 miles of the campus.
Also, curious to see how many players transfer in the next couple of weeks. I feel like both Scott and Douglas could leave for the Pac-12 if they wanted to, and I wouldn't blame them if they did. Hopefully we can keep as much as the roster as possible though, it is basically impossible to bring in a decent recruiting class this late into the cycle.

Go after Rick Pitino. Hes a weird dude, but lets bring winning back. Pony up donors.
Him or Luke Walton.

Checking in instead of lurking to say - WOOT! We have to get a coaching pick right after a half dozen tries. Even if just by coincidence or luck or fate...

Never really understood the consultant thing. They always have an agenda and remember the Pump Brothers fiasco hiring Bayno over Turner. Ultimately the responsibility and decision rests with the AD. Seems like it is a waste of money and it brings in outsiders who don't have a true understanding of the program and its needs. Also it is Fogler consulting not Folger. As in Eddie Fogler former head coach at Wichita, Vandy, and South Carolina. Dean Smith assistant.

Maybe he can drive Giannis Antetokounmpo out of Milwaukee and into LA? Actually, I wish him well.

Mike Dunlap hired as Millwaukee Bucks assistant coach. Wish him well. I do wish him well. He is more cut out to be an NBA assistant than a head college coach.

Interesting . Good move for him. He’s going to a premier team. They just loaded up so I’m sure he’s going to be in charge of developing their bench. A team full of vets. And as ever the opportunist, I can totally see a situation where if Budenholzer has any slip ups, he could fill in as an interim coach.

Wow, good for him, he has a real shot at a ring!
Dunlap played here in the late 70s, was an assistant here in the early 80s, and a head coach 30 years later. Not too many people have been with the program on all of those levels.
I wish him well!

Good for him. I always thought he was a good as an assistant coach. A great role for him.

Coaches Johnson and Dunlap just traded cities. Small world.

I wonder if Dunlap sold his connections to the Ball family to land the job? He brought Eli to LMU and rumors have it that LaMelo might go #1 in today's draft to a top team.
