Wouldn’t mind grabbing Flavors from Cal Baptist. Besides a couple guys we have lacked great shooters the last decade At one point Cal Baptist had 6 players in the transfer window. That's a pretty high number these days for a school with no coaching turnover. Perhaps Croy's style is not meshing or perhaps he is just getting rid of the lesser talent. Just an observation. Haha dont speak on things you know nothing about. They are a team that isnt eligible for the big dance. If a kid is good and wants the opportunity to play in March Madness, he cant until 2022 at Cal Baptist.

If he reasoning for transferring is to play in the big dance then he probably isn't coming here anyways. In other news: www.verbalcommits.com/players/daron-holmes-ii - we just gave our first offer to the class of 2021, 4 star recruit who has offers from several of the major schools. Not that he is coming to LMU but when was the last time we even made an offer to a 4 star recruit (excluding local kids who were freshman at the time). Good to see that Stan is being aggressive and isn't settling. Edit: It was probably Elijah Stewart... Looks like he has an offer from Marquette as well, would not be surprised to see a few more of these. Marquette has about 7 offers out for the 2021 class that I found, all of them at least 4 start recruits and 7 of them are top 60 players in the class. Not that LMU is going to get any of them, but just shows the talent that Stan is used to recruiting.

Saw him play live at HoopHall West against Sierra Canyon. A real stud who can play anywhere.

Cam Allen is going to Towson He did play in all 32 games last season at Bakersfield averaging 19 minutes. Scored about 9 ppg He was not in the top 5 players in minutes per game

Actually, Cam Allen was selected to the WAC All-Newcomer team "over" 3 other teammates who averaged "more" minutes per game. He shot @ 40% from 3, had 12 double figure games and multiple 20pt games. His highlight tape speaks for itself, which is why he was reported to be contacted by some 35 D-1 schools after hitting the transfer portal. Wishing him the best!

Those who truly know basketball are aware that grad transfers are not always better suited going to high major or the highest rated programs or conferences that recruit them...they are wise to go to the best SITUATIONS. Players (particularly grad transfers) should go to where they have RELATIONSHIPS and trust. They should seek the best OPPORTUNITY to showcase their ability, get to the dance and improve their stock to play on the professional level, if they desire. it is known that Allen had been recruited by this staff previously and the Head Coach, Pat Skerry, is respected and has been there for about 10 yrs. If you'd review the track records of most mid major kids that transfer up to high profile programs...they did not fare too well. Example...UNC had two mid major grad transfers, Christian Keeling dropped from 19pts/32min to 6pts/19min...Justin Pierce dropped from 15pts/34min to 5pts/18min! Look at KJ Feagin's stats from Santa Clara compared to his numbers at San Diego St. He went from 17pts/gm to 9pts/gm and had less minutes and assists. Tell me, how did those kids INCREASE their professional stock? I tell players (particularly grad transfers with multiple school options) to go where you are the BEST at what you do as a player and where you are not expendable if you have a bad night. Be a big fish in a smaller pond. According to their media info, Towson (not Townsend) has new facilities/arena, finished a close 3rd in the Colonial (2 games out of first)..and has 4 of their top 6 scorers returning. It must be an attractive destination for some notable local California players to transfer. Their Website notes transfers that include 7 footer, Victor Uyaelunmo (USC)..6-9 Juwan Gray (San Diego)..6-6 Demetrius Sims (Long Beach State). Evidently, Allen sees a fit, a role and an opportunity to play closer to home and get to the dance. The transfer market can boost a kid's profile or send him into the witness protection program! I wish ALL the NCAA transfers success in their new endeavors.

According to 24/7 sports, Illinois sophomore SF Tevian Jones is being recruited by LMU
"Illinois transfer and former four-star prospect Tevian Jones has seen several schools reach out since entering the transfer portal.
The 6-foot-6, 200-pound sophomore small forward has heard from Arizona, Arizona State, Colorado State, Hawaii, LMU, Pacific, Portland State and UCSB, according to a source close to the recruitment."
Was a 4* coming out of HS but hasn't played well at Illinois

4/6/2020 - Loyola Marymount 2019 PG Deovaunta Williams (6-1, 160, 2★) will be transferring.
Not surprising- probably sees the writing on the wall from the number of guards we are recruiting.

perhaps a coincidence or likely not but his transfer is on the same day Justice Hill is announcing...without any knowledge, it's likely we have our first signing for 2020
