Does anyone know anything about Tajavis Miller? Looks like he’s a sophomore shooting guard from Servite and we just offered him (his second offer, after USD).

We offered Jorge Ochoa, a 6-7 2-star sophomore from La Mirada.
We are his first offer, and he is touted as being “underrated.”

Good things are happening. I’m guessing these guys have growth room over the next two years so highly coveted as Seniors, if not already.

Ochoa, I like it. First in. If he gets a bit more athletic and or grows a couple inches? Because in the video I could find, he's a freshman, and look at his pull up jumper. Filthy. He couldv'e dropped an easy 50 on me in the Boston YMCA 14 and under league.

daughter played BB at JSerra, and I've seen Alpha a few times. VERY athletic and would be a great get (and since both schools are Lions, no need to change mascots ) I expect him to get Power 5 offers as well.

We offered anyone that could dribble a basketball today. About 25 offers out. Coach is going with the “first ones to accept” philosophy. Not a bad strategy but could burn some bridges this way. Kids getting over recruited, offers revoked. My guess is he’s offering kids he knows he has no chance with just to get the brand out more. He’s very big on brand which is evident.

Yes, a very wide net! I don’t think the burned bridges is going to be a problem, pure speculation based off how the coaching staff has presented themselves thus far. And agree this completely plays toward coach’s vision of branding. But can hopefully pay dividends, down the road, with what I see as eventual changes re: transfer rules and endorsements deals that are coming to all of college sports.
