Preview @ Yahoo sports.yahoo.com/ncaab/preview?gid=200802160317Key to this game, if we want to be in it, will be defense. SMC is high scoring and we cannot keep up consistently enough to try to roll that way. We are near opposite teams. SMC PF 77, Points Allowed 63 LMU PF 62, Points Allowed 78 SMC barely escaped a low scoring affair on the road at SCU. Gaels are deservingly ranked but still vulnerable on the road. Hopefully we get a big crowd to get behind the team and boost our intangibles seeing this is a ranked opponent, nationally televised, and parent's day. Good luck lions.

1. Do not chant overrated. It is a lame chant that embarrasses the chanting's team. 2. If you must. Do not chant overrated with 15 left in the 1st half.

I think we blew our budget on those shouting b&w commercials. I've counted 4 in about 30 minutes .

Orange, I can only guess the LMU commercial offensive was to blunt the overwhelmingly negative response the audience would have had to our institution due to the actual game on the court.
Ugly. Ugly. Ugly.
Good news: Kanne hit a three. Bad news: Kanne hitting a three was the only good news to report from the floor.
Did Lawton ever leave his wine cellar to support the team?

I'm sorry but LMU just does not play as a team. Sorry. They don't run the plays, players are just looking for there points. I'm sick of it, just sick of it.
We all talk about certain players well certain players need to play defense, run the play (first learn the play) and not only look for scoring in the box score, we need to win.

There were a lot of bad judgment plays. Our guys do not have the size or talent compared to the gael to drive ramming through crowded lanes and expecting anything to fall. We were having balls swatted left and right, 26% shooting.

Let me start by saying I'm so upset that I can't even sleep... i heard a rumor tonight that our "players" don't even show up on time for practice anymore... what a joke. Even at 5-21 we are giving you SCHOLARSHIPS to learn, live and eat for free, at least show up to practice on time...
If RT ever wants to make us into a RESPECTABLE program he will change the whole attitude the players bring to the floor because at this rate, I do not see things changing AT ALL for the next 2-3 years... I just feel bad for the current freshmen ROAR members who have to deal with this "team" for the next few years... There is NO size, negligible talent and zero hustle (besides JZ and Sweezy tonight).
I felt embarrassed inviting my father to tonight's game... Although I should have expected it being that we don't give ourselves a chance in any tough game... Even our most devout student supporters (myself included) KNOW that before tip-off we are doomed... It's just a matter of how badly we'll lose... THAT is what bothers me and THAT is why I can't sleep...
Even "young" teams improve and after attending all but one home game this year I have seen very little improvement. I, as well as other fans feel that attending games puts us in a horrible mood and that the only remedy is attending women's games (who are actually pretty darn good they beat GU by 15 last week, I was there)...
After games like tonight that have 0 bright spots (except maybe Kanne hitting a three he's awesome I have class with him) it's no wonder that even Bo Kimble can never be seen in "Hank's House." HE SUPPORTS USC BASKETBALL OVER US!!!! (Note:He left USC)... BTW I hate USC in general so it's a double whammy.
It's also embarrassing how our AD openly chastises the only group of students who still have any loyalty to our players as we "sing the national anthem horribly." Well you know what Husak? The world doesn't care that we have great aquatics teams... They care that our men's basketball team is an absolute joke...
The whole program is in shambles and it looks like our coach, players and administration are OK with that... There's no way we can compete with legitimate schools or even Pooperdine now that they've got Ashbury back... Embarrassing is the only word that can describe our men's basketball program and the future does not look bright and there's no way you can convince me otherwise. Our incoming freshmen are undersized (shocking) and we need big men who ACT like big men... *SIGH* enough ranting for now. But if you don't agree with me know that I'm a realist not a pessimist.
On a lighter note, Max Craig played well tonight.

Sorry got to disagree. We just flat out suck and don't play as a team. I'm not going to call out players but the bottom line is I have no respect for this team. You can Ziri Ziri sorry I say leader leader. Guards out rebound our bigs and scoring and reading your name in the press bos is more of a priority than playing RT's system. At this stage of the season Freshmen or Sophmores whatever we need to be competitive and were not. We don't run plays, players can't get open when you don't run plays. I'm sick and tired of not being competitive. I understand why people don't come to the game to support what? We don't even know whats going on, I can go to any ESPN, Yahoo etc site and find out about players, injury reports, coaches vision etc but nothing for LMU.
I'm just sick and had no sleep thinking about it all night.

I have season seats for LMU hoops and am glad that there are just two home games left.
Yesterday was an embarrasment and am going to think very hard whether to renew any financial interest unless changes are made in the program.

I'm glad they gave away towels at the game. They came handy covering my face in shame.
