www.espn.com/mens-college-basketball/story/_/id/31724992/teenage-hoop-stars-get-paid-earlier-ever-does-mean-ncaaWhat is everyone’s thoughts on the NCAA’s decision? I definitely think that Stan’s vision is prepared for this transition, and his social media program is a big part of his coaching package. It’s not just for vanity but a clear attack plan. It makes sense why someone like Eli Scott would stay. Of course with social media, it doesn’t matter where you are, you can be big and now the big schools will arm their fans with even more power, but I’d have to think that this helps LMU in the long run, right?

I think this rule could potentially benefit us given we are in LA, it is the place to be for building an individuals online/social media brand. All of the top content creators on TikTok and Youtube are in LA, would like to see the school make an effort to possibly partner with some of them to endorse our player's individual brands, I truly think we are in a great position to be ahead of the curve and maximize the potential benefits of this ruling. As for the ruling itself, I 100% agree with it. Players should absolutely own the rights to their name and brand. Pretty sure that prior to this, NCAA athletes were literally the only people who could not make money off their own name.

I just hope it doesn't lead to the rich getting richer - like the High Major schools with deep pockets. The Yankees or Dodgers effect.
