Zips? Is this some sort of kangaroo that lives in Ohio?
Anyways, I hope the lions had a great holiday break and were able to get some practice time in with emphasis on the new lineup.
Akron is a strong team, they are coming off a narrow loss to (25) Nevada, 73-71. UA also played ORU and won 61-59, it was likely the biggest win of the season so far.
They are currently 7-3 for the season and ranked #14 in the Mid Major 25.
Go Lions!

Even before our string of injuries this game was favored for UA. I'm hoping the zips under estimate the Lions and we sneak out a little post-Christmas (Kwanzaa perhaps) miracle. zipsnation.org/www.uofazips.com/

There is a reason the counseling/rehab center is attached to the gym. I'll book some AA meetings in the center for our post game festivities at home.

break out the liquor after the first half. Definitely not looking good for the rest of the season. I was keeping my hopes up, until now. But the home games should still be fun. . .

92-52 Fin' Well boys and girls, Kwanzaa miracles do not indeed happen. Wow. A real spanking if I ever saw one. Holy nuts. The good news is that half the WCC is not as strong as UA. The only teams that could contend are gonzaga and perhaps SCU. The lions were 15-20 points behind even with Worthy and Knight. So this defeat isn't the biggest shock. It's always sad to see a team just fold up but we'll be ready for Monmouth and definitely the rag tag teams of the WCC. Don't head for the hills just yet. But these past two games could foreshadow the upcoming season. Close and exciting home games and blowout aways. Some other notes is that Ziri might be up an running conference time but he couldn't seem to make much an impact this game. Kanne also saw perhaps his first minutes on the court. Grubb... sigh... oh grubb....
