Turned on the second half, the only LMU basketball I've been able to see all year. Was expecting some truly awful basketball based on reading the board, but we look downright good! Much better than last year. Cam is running the pick and roll effectively, we keep getting to the rim...possible we lost to UCI because they're, you know, good?

I always thought Jalin was a bucket that needed to fill out his game. Still has a ways to go on the PG skills, then?

One of the better halves of basketball under the CSJ era - what a great way to end the game. The UC Irvine definitely prepared the Lions to handle Georgetown's intensity, Wake Forest will be a different beast with two elite guards but fun to win this one.

Wow! What a game. I’m changing my opinion to a “buy” as they say in the stock market, maybe a strong buy Let’s see if we can continue the great play Sunday

Great response in the second half boys! Once Stephens and Keli saw a few threes fall, it was open hunting season.
Graham with some great put backs as well.
Rick's size really shined today against the long length of Georgetown.
Cam with a great game too.
Let's see how it goes Sunday!

LMU now 2-0 against Ewing's Georgetown. I believe they are undefeated in Jamaica as well.

Wow what a tale of two halves. This team is like dr jekyll and mr hyde. You never know what you're going to get. Few comments
Ahrens: He does alot of things that don't show up in the stat book. very crafty, you can tell he played in the big 10 for 4 years Isaanza: Looks like a completely different players when compared to the life pacific game. You saw his athleticism and length today, especially during his put back slam in the second half when cam missed. We just haven't had that at LMU ever if I remember correctly. Big 10 length and athleticism btu definitely still very raw Kelli: leader and consistent great game today especially in the second half Chance: very streaky but when he gets hot hes fun to watch, much more mobile and athletic than Joe Q Cam: playing extremely confident which is great to see Graham: a little lacking in physical strength and length at his height but his energy and tenaciousness is contagious
As you can tell I am excited and I dont think I have been this happy watching a LMU game in a very long time. We're not getting an at large big but it would be great to shock some people in the WCC tourney this year

It's fun to see the postivity NBD!
I agree, Rick Isaanza may just be a key cog this year if we can help his game grow while utilizing his athleticism and length like we saw today. He was our big that really matched up well to their size.
Let's see what we can do Sunday! A close game (and maybe a win?!) would only continue to grow the guys confidence after today.

Upon reflection perhaps our fast pace of play wore the Hoyas down? Announcers repeatedly remarked at the tough workout Coach Johnson gave the Lions the day before this game. The Hoyas kinda gave up at the end of the game. And where was big man Motumbo in the second half after a strong stint late in the first? Bad coaching by Ewing I guess? Great and surprising win!

Congrats to the players for what was obviously a good win. I missed the game entirely, but if nbd was enthused, they must’ve played well!
Nbd is right about Ahrens. He has the skills and experience the Lions need to succeed. He is capable of making or breaking the Lions’ season. I’ve been very frustrated watching him not take a big role in the games. He’s gotta step up.
