So far this season we just can’t get stops when we need them. Coach Stan preaches strong D and I’ve seen strong team defensive efforts but his players simply don’t play strong individual defense. I don’t know about today but in their previous games this year, help defense has been weak and back door defense non-existent. |

Alex and Harris who led the way on offense in the first half were shut out in the second. Play of our front line is not strong. In any case, the Lumberjacks shot lights out in the second half and earned the win. Scoring and rebounding. Wright and Hill played a strong second half for the Lions. Tomorrows game starts at 8 am local time. Really surprising to me a play that seems so technically competent such as Lars can go completely quiet in a game. It isn't like a shooter who can go cold. Didn't watch, but it sounds like we really need to work on our entry passes as one are of our game to become a properly good team this season. |

Lars was outmusceled on the boards on a number of occasions. Kelly also struggling with his shot still. He will come around but it's been a tough start for him.

We have great players. I believe there needs to be some coaching adjustments. Rotation wise & schematically.

I didn’t see or listen to the game but looked at the box score and play-by-play. We gave up 50 points in the last 17 minutes. And they had 23 second-chance points and we had 4. Someone mentioned that we were outmuscled and that definitely seems to have been the issue.
Hill has really shot well.
Let’s try to win two out of three.

with St. Mary's really struggling (so far) this year, there is a huge opportunity for LMU, Santa Clara, or USF to come in second in WCC and get the double bye in the tourney. Let's keep gettig better and see what happens in conference and the conference tourney. Our depth is going to be more and more important as the season goes on.
