hi guys,
So I realize that some of you might not like my name or what I posted earlier because it talked badly about the program. But hear me out. My grandfather went to Loyola Marymount, my dad went to Loyola Marymount, and I went to LMU. My family has had season tickets since I was a little baby. I grew up in Westchester my whole life and have been to numerous LMU basketball camps, and have not missed but 10 home games the past 15 years of my life. I have witnessed players such as Williamson, O'Douk sp?, Mashak, Cornell (I still dont know why he declared for the draft), Wyking Jones, Worthy, Knight, Ayer( ay ay ay), Pappadopolous (loved his name) and lots of players I have forgotten names of. So i would love to see LMU do as well as possible just like you guys would. But the fact is, what i said i believe to be true. How many WCC championships has Husak brought us? Very few. What basketball coaches has he hired? Olive, Aggers, Bradley and Tention I believe. Which one has panned out? Lets look at who Tention has recruited? Johnson and Diedrichs have potential but come on... who else Maynard? Craig? Sutton? Turner? Sweezy? I mean I am not speaking nonsense. The program needs a change. And it starts with your Athletic Director and coach. Husak is a bum, for God sakes. Those in the know realize the conspiracy surrounding LMU basketball. After Hank passed and all the legal ramifications and questioning that the school underwent occured, LMU basketball has not welcomed success. And Husak has bought into this theory that success is not always the best thing. Success brings news. And if something that we all hope does not happen, like a death, or a scandal, our program will get bad rep. And I think this is what he has feared. He has hired inferior coaches who are not experienced enough to develop a winning program. Husak himself is not at all committed to winning. When a school's WCC championship hopes rest on the softball team (nothing against them), something is wrong. Changes need to be made. I am sorry. But the truth hurts.
Regarding my name, I have become enamored WITH gonzaga basketball after witnessing Casey Calvary tip in a game winning basket to send Gonzaga to the elite eight in 1999 in Arizona. I have been a die hard fan since. But I still wish the Lions all the success. And as someone who has been so close to LMU basketball for so many years, I dont see it wrong for me to say my opinion. If you think I am wrong with whatever I have said, I am happy to debate with you on it. thanks
