Made it interesting toward the end and I respect the team’s fight. But too big a 1st half hole to dig out of. CS when you are #2 in the conference and #75 in the country you are gonna have some off nights but otherwise give them the green light. I’d rather that than the fear Dunlap created. In that same vein, thankfully we hit our free throws which kept us in the game.
I’ve been disappointed with Lars a lot this season but have to give him credit for a 15 and 8 game. I was surprised when I saw that stat line.
Unfortunately we are battling for the 6-7 spot and we are gonna be under .500.

No doubt, I agree I’d prefer to have the players shooting, CMD made it a penalty to take a shot and miss; that whole era played scared to get pulled. Seemed like USD got all the luck tonight and we still clawed back without Keli, and without Dom for a large portion. |

Not sure what standard we have raised since he took over. About to finish 6th or 7th again in the wcc.
Unfortunately the alumni, fans, student body, and most importantly the administration don’t require a higher standard. Pathetic program that lives in mediocrity.
Maybe one time during my lifetime I will see an ncaa tournament appearance. Probably not when we are more concerned with TikTok followers and social media presence

Stan just needs to raise NIL money, but going off your point about our alumni base/students...we as a whole are too apathetic to support anything, really. The portal is EVERYTHING these days, more important than getting a promising high school senior. And as long as alumni/donor involvement is minimal we will never truly move the needle. We have some donors that are really doing their part year after year, but unfortunately we need many more reaching in their pockets if we want to see any type of a change. And I know Stan's coaching has been subpar. But my oh my, could you imagine Dunlap in the NIL era? He hated talking to ANYONE that wasn't a part of the program. He didn't think fundraising was his duty. We would never win a game in this NIL era with him. This isn't a simple "fire the coach" issue that it maybe would've been 10 years ago. It's much deeper. |

Its really sad to see the apathy on this board. Its very obvious. Thank you LIONS90045 for your consistent output on this board and your support of our team. Its been an incredibly frustrating season im sure for all of us. I received a personal message this morning with the comment, “Things in Westchester are so bad that even ALioninWinter hasn’t commented on the game.” I thought about commenting, but figured “what’s the use.” The Lions haven’t hit rick bottom, but they’re close! The guys deserve credit for almost pulling off a miracle finish last night, but the first half stats were really telling —- 75% shooting by the Tereros, 10 fast break points, a 9-2 rebounding edge. WOW! |
