The last "three setbacks coming by a combined four points, two of the three decided at the buzzer." according to LMULions.com Its a tall order but maybe we can put together two halves of good basketball, limit turn overs, hit some shots and actually win a game against SCU or STMARYS... Go Lions!

I hope we get at least one win out of this trip. It's possible, we just need to put together two good halves in one game.

This will be interesting. Last time the lions went on the road the results were awful (Portland anyone?).

It's been awhile. What a great played game. Kudos need to go all around, these kids stepped up and just took down the WCC tied for 1st place leader in fine fashion. HUGE win, just amazing. To rain on my own parade, Knight went down, I pray it's not going to take him out of any games.

Big win against a team that had been playing good ball as of late.
Our 8-game losing streak is over and during that time, I gave up alcohol.
Well...........Newcastle - here I come.
GO LIONS!

We did it! What a game, these guys deserved it after so many setbacks and close calls. Let's bring the heat to the Gaels! ;D

This really highlights the game. Taken from the official press release __________________ "That was a great team win," said Head Coach Rodney Tention. "I thought the kids played like they practiced all week. They really worked hard and deserved this win. It was all about patience and getting the best shot and that's what we did. That is a tribute to them." LMU hit on 28-for-46 shots to finish 60.8 percent from the floor, the best percentage since the Lions defeated Saint Mary's 101-87 on Jan. 29, 1999 with 63.8 percent shooting. The Lions hit on 13-for-19 in the second half (68 percent). Santa Clara shot 50 percent (23-for-46) while hitting 11-of-19 from the three-point line. The difference for the Lions was forcing Santa Clara into 18 turnovers, converting them into 26 points. LMU turned the ball over 15 times. __________________ A real team effort all around. Ziri also deserved a shoutout. All the players do, it is still a little hard to believe just how these guys turned it around like that but I'm glad they did.

Knight should be fine from the sound of it. He returned to the game after the initial injury, and left again after falling hard on said knee. Besides, nothing was really mentioned of it during the part of the KXLU postgame show I heard.
