How many of you guys are going to attend the press conference on wednesday.
I for one will be there, and am very excited to see Bayno introduced as leader of the Lions.

I will be tuning in online. Come on...ironlion, make the commitment that LMU is making to basketball. Physically show up to the conference. I am just pushing and challenging everyone, but understand if you cannot make it. We NEED to show the support.

I will be there too. Talked to the AD. Every coach in the running including Monty, and Bayno, said that we do not have a single Div I player on our roster. A few "might" be able to come off the bench on other teams.
Since we have no scholarships I don't know what Bayno will be able to do, but he'll have to coach these kids. If he can coach these kids to a winning way, then he's a good coach.
In any event, I'm Stoked!

No players that are division 1? That's over the top. First, to say Orlando ain't, is a joke. There are a few kids that have quite a bit of potential. Hopefully not to get slammed again, but there are some schollie players that should look to transfer, I think. That's there choice, but it looks like it would be in the best interest of several of these guys, and I'd like Bayno to have some more open scholarships.

When Aggers took over I remember there being quite a few changes in the roster. I would like to see Bayno have as many scholarships as possible out of the gate. It will be interesting to see who leaves. I hope Orlando, Tim and Isaiah stay with us for sure.
Go Lions.

To say we don't have anyone on the roster that is D1 was probably just poking the eye of a fired coach. But we need help.

If he can coach these kids to a winning way, then he's a good coach. In any event, I'm Stoked! Well if thats true than I guess since Montgomery was up for the job he would know his KID was not D1 quality either. After 5 years in the program he was serviceable. I like our Freshman and 1 Sophmore numbers this past year with a coach that just could not get through to the group and movtivate/develop these guys: OJ Deadwiler Tim They were good in that order although Deadwiler didn't get a chance to play his full game and the best is yet to come from all three of these players. Bayno is a Player Development Coach and he will develop these three and it started already. How this process works ladies and gentlemen is first who has the grades and who doesn't. All of you get behind players and don't know who is cutting the mustard and who is not. If your grades are not there then your out come the end of this school year. So don't be surprised when you see at least two probably three gone for that reason and that reason alone. Other than that I think its safe to say all the players will be returning. Tim and Deadwiler are TRUE D1 players and Orlando is also. The 2 incoming freshmen will get a shot to knock QT and Corey out of the box. Marko is going to be a SR so he's not going anywhere and has experience. Counts is a walkon so he will be there. I also understand Banyo is bringing in someone from Cal State Ful as an asst, anyone here that? I hope you can read between the lines I think I made it clear. Waterboy your way off on your assesment and make sure when you quote the AD you are correct but I know your incorrect unless you can pull an article out to support your post.

I can't read behind the lines AA. Are you implying someone ain't qualifying? I would guess Bayno will try to be honest and let these young men know where they stand and the current players will make a decision. I'm actually glad to hear that it sounds like Kwame is still coming. My friend is a journalist up in the bay and raves about this kid. When Shamsud left and we got him, he told me that the kid is a diamond in the rough. Not long ago, he said he's gonna show up some high major recruits. Sounds good.

I didn't say behind the lines I said between. If you have not made the grades in 2 consecutive semester then you've made an incoming coaches job easy if he wanted your schollie, your OUT, bottom line no matter if you can play basketball or not. Each player will get assessed by Bayno, each player will get a chance to prove they belong but each player better be ready to take the medicine they get when they meet with Coach Bayno. He wants to win and win now I'm sure like any other D1 coach would. LMU is a great place to go to school and play basketball and I see that starting to happen with this hire but the players will now be fully accountable and expected to be men and play hard and agressive everynight plus make the grades thus defining the term Student Athlete.
