Are there still good big men this late in the game? If we can land Garibay that'll be 2 more left. I just know that good big men are snatched up quick by major programs.

Could Bayno possibly not use the last two scholarships this season. If we got Garibay that would be a 9 man rotation with Viney and Davis sitting out a year. There are probably not too many high quality prospects around this late in the game. If Bayno can this well with the couple of months hes had here imagine what he could do with a years recruiting. If he did use all the scholarships this year we would have very few available next year for Bayno to recruit with. Hopefully Bayno will know whats best.

yeah and counts isnt even on scholarship so that is only gonna be one ride opening up. I think if we hold off on the last couple we could have a recruiting class even bigger than this one next year.

Its is really remarkable the recruits Coach Bayno has brought in on a few months. Rudd is a example of the level recruits we will be aiming from now on. Really exciting and unbelievable! I know SC just lost two scholarships...I think we have a great chance to get Rudd!

That is amazing news to hear that Bayno is right in there and Rudd is very interested in LMU. USC's APR woes could help us out here. Bayno isn't relaxing, and he doesn't even have his full staff in place! A great recruiter, no joke.

timmeaboy, you are saying that Wendel Wright is still coming to LMU? Has this been confirmed. As for LMU having the "best" offseason, I noticed that poll too. It could be fanatical LMU fans pumping the poll, yes, but with my bias noted, I have to admit we've had a pretty kick ass off-season considering that we were one of the worst teams in D1 hoops just a few months ago. Things are looking WAY up. Go lions!

Where is this info aobut Wendell coming to LMU from? I have heard different for a long time.
ESPN gives him a pretty good evaluation:
Wright has sprouted up in the past year and now is being forecasted as a wing-type. He has long arms and overall nice length to play the three at the next level. Wright gets most of his points off of quick drives to the hole. Furthermore, he has a nice feel to the game - especially his passing. In the coming seasons he needs to smoothen out that jump shot to play at the mid-major level or higher.
Wright has a ton of promise if he can work out some of the kinks in his game. He has that proto-typical wing-type body (and he-s not done growing yet either) that colleges covet. He has long arms and pretty soft hands and he's a solid athlete. Offensively, he's at his best when slashing (uses his body well in traffic) to the basket and converts on a regular basis. However, there are two areas (handle and shooting) that need some refining - most notably his shooting (very flat on its flight).
