I was looking at a board that said Drew Viney has asked for his release from Oregon and it was granted. Three schools were mentioned by a poster, SDSU, USD, and LMU.

Nice find newlionfan...Viney would be an amazing addition to LMU. He was very high recruited out of HS ( Duke, Kentucky, Cal, Arizona) Four star recruit on Rivals. Only average 1.5 points a game but probably didn't get much time due to a senior laden Ducks team and play the same position as Malik Harston.
It stated he want to play close to home...well Westchester is very close to Villa Park.

ESPN rundown on Viney:
Viney is one of the smoothest players in the country. He has the ideal frame, particularly his long arms and broad shoulders, for the wing position in college. He has an effortless stroke from the outside and gets it off fairly quick. In addition to his shooting prowess, Viney is quite bouncy and runs the floor quite well. In order for him to make an impact at Oregon, he must improve his handle, lateral quickness, and most notably, his overall effort at both ends.

Wow... I've seen Viney play a bit and he looked good. It's hard to say because it was mainly garbage time, but still... definitely a big-time recruit.
And there is always the Bill Bayno-Blazers-Nike-UO connection!
Good luck!

I find it funny that I thought at first that it was Oregon at SC, but it looks as though this was high school, as I noticed the Sports Arena floor! Is there any videos of him in college?

I was by Gersten today and saw Drew. I introduced my self and told him we are excited to have him visiting, Coach Bayno is awesome, and hoped he would give us a chance. He said he had just arrived on campus and was about to look around. I later say Coach Bayno and the Viney family walking around. I'm really excited, and hoping he gives us a his verbal.

Meanwhile, in Las Vegas...
Asst. Coach Levy was seen working the Double Pump Las Vegas Exposure Tournament this afternoon looking for recruits. Head Coach Rex Walters from USF was also seen at the same event, as were reps for Santa Clara.
Things are about to happen in a big way. Stay tuned!

Can't say everyone for certain, and can't say for other reasons, but I have my suspicions. Trust me that both Levy and Walters are hitting the teams featuring post grads and Class of 2008 players especially hard since they need to get players that can play immediately.
More info as it becomes available...
